zepman
Someone will pick him up pretty soon but it sure looks like he's going to be backing up wherever he ends up. I would like to see the Vikes pick him up but it looks like they're pretty set in their ways. He's still got a few good years left and he would keep our defense off the field a little longer than in the past couple of years.
bucketmouth64
Have you heard the comments from Cutler lately? He didn't want this situation to get this far. He likes the Denver area and would still play for the Broncos. Go figure. I'm sure the Bronco's are scratching their head too. I wouldn't be surprised if Cutler decides to talk to Bowlen and McDaniels and get things smoothted out. I hear Redskins want him too. This will cause a qb problem with Redskins and Campbell now. This could put Campbell on the market now. Bronco's want two number one draft choices. Trade could involve more than one team. This could go on up thru the draft. bassNspear
i have not heard anything. all i have heard is that he wants out!
Wadinator
Anybody who thinks there's a slight chance that Cutler ends up here is dreaming. That ship has sailed (back in March) and it's time to move on.Garcia will sign with someone eventually, and it won't be with us either.Chillidork has his two QBs for this season, and we're all going to have to settle for that. I pray we land a great o-lineman in the draft, and Sagevaris Jackenfels steps up and plays competent ball for us this fall. If these two things happen, and no key players suffer major injuries, we could actually make some noise in the playoffs.I've got my fingers crossed, but I'm not holding my breath. Craigums
There was a good article on cutler in the star tribune today. Patrick Ruesse basically lays it out. Why would we even want that cry baby here? He has a sub .500 winning percentage, his QB rating is far from spectacular, He had a complete colapse last season to miss the playoffs, and has no playoff experience. Whats the love affair with this egotistical punk, honestly a cancer to the chemistry of the team. I could see him having a hissy fit if he came here because AP is the bigger star and cutlers ego wouldn't be able to handle that. Id take garcia over him anyday. Anyways I don't want the vikes to part with more draft picks we passed on our 1st and 3rd last year, lets see what we can get this year. PierBridge
As usual Ruesse talking out of his arse.Gee I wonder why we would possibly want a 25 year Pro bowl QB. Good Grief.
Sandmannd
I agree with Pier. Some said Moss was a cancer, I'd would have loved to see him here his whole career. They are all over paid cry babies, the coaches need to deal with it, that's why coaches are paid millions.
Scott K
I would take Cutler over 90% of the Qb's playing now! If he isnt happy with his employer, and they fired his coach and all of the personnel, I can understand him not being happy. Cutler didnt loose those games, their defense did! Born2Fish
They also said a deal could be done as soon as friday. I do not see us giving up 2 1st rounders to get him. It would be nice, but I just can't see them doing it.
Scott K
Its a steep price, I guess if they did it, I wouldnt complain, but if we dont and that is the price for him, I wouldnt complain either.
Wade Joseph
Exhale, uncross your fingers, stop rubbing the rabbits foot...There is no Lombardi trophy in the near future with the talent you have on the sidelines and behind center.
bassNspear
i watched sportscenter today at noon and there talking that cutler might be going to lions or bucs. Denver wanted 2 first round picks, but doesnt want the #1 pick overall i guess!
wahoohendoo
the vikes will be sleeping on the clock anyway and screw up the draft or they will draft another williamson or kicker or a running back.they got lucky with AP and they got lucky with moss. get cutler before you embarass your self again. Jim916
It looks like Cutler is going to the Bears. It should be interesting when the Vikes play them!
wallmounter
It's over, multiple sites reporting Cutler is going to Da Bears.
goblueM
for a first in 2009 and one in 2010. Plus NeckbeardPuts da bears as the favorites for the NFC north I would think. Assuming their defense stays remotely healthy
OLY
Not only did the vikes not land him, but now we have to play him 2 times a year.

Scott K
Quote:The Broncos have agreed in principle to trade Jay Cutler to the Bears. There were late reports that the Redskins were near a deal, so the Bears must have made a last-minute push. The Broncos will reportedly receive Kyle Orton, first-round draft picks in 2009 and 2010, and a 2009 third-round draft pick. The Bears will also receive the Broncos' fifth-round pick this year. It's a bold move for the Bears, giving them their first "franchise quarterback" since Sid Luckman in the 1940s. Cutler's value takes a big hit going from a high-powered offense with talented young receivers to a conservative attack lacking in playmakers. Flash
I feel bad for Cutler. The only place worse for QB's has been Detroit. I hope we end up with Garcia and then in a few years John David Booty will take over. The Vikes need draft picks. Not a whining Jay Cutler. Just my opinion though. goblueM
bears have plenty of playmakers... Hester and Greg Olson, Matt Forte come to mind. Extreme lack of good QB play dragged down other people's performance, in my mind
