This one had to be the lemon of the lot,it just never worked properly. In it's present condition it can't work any worse than it did before. Perhaps this was a little extreme but it sure felt good. I had reached the limit of my patience. I know I can't be the only one who has wanted to do this.

Thats wierd, Ive had mine for going on 5 or more years now and have never had a problem with it!! I found that if you put it in the sled of a flip shack it does turn off from low oxygen cut out. But sittin on the ice it runs for 4 hours no problem. Maybe they don't make them like they used too. At least it made you feel better!?

I've been tempted. I'm on my second one and they both seem to run for 15-45 mins and shut off. I've used them in my shack, shop and three car garage. There seems to be a lot of ways to fix them($$$), too bad there isn't a reliable way to buy one that works.

Ya thats what I wanted to do to every one of the 4 or 5 I got and none worked the way they should. Never found one that would light up every time and stay running no matter what I did to them. Returned them all and now I have a Mr heater cooker, a tank mount and a tank mount with the self igniting clicker switch. NICE!

I do have the new small Mr heater 1# heater with self ignition and that one works slick on early ice when temps arent bad.

I wont own a buddy heater of any sort until they can guarentee me it will work right all the time.

I am not 100% certain...but purdy sure, you may have violated your warranty?

LOL!

I also work in a retail sporting goods store...and I would love to see you try to return that, as a joke ...with your receipt...or even better...without one.

It would make a good video, watching the customer service folks try to be....well "Helpful" and polite, in this situation.

Get a nice clean unmarred fresh Big Buddy Box....stick it in...then tell them "Ah.....I think it got damaged in shipping..or something...it don't work?"

The look on there face should be worth the effort. smile

LOLOL> Thanks for the reality check. I've been reading posts from "happy" Buddy owners recently and was almost gonna give one a 2nd try. crazycrazy When I first read the title, a sledge hammer was first thing that came to mind. I only wish I'd have taken one to mine before I dumped it in the garbage can earlier this winter. Thanks again for saving me the Big Frustration of being a Big Buddy owner, again.
