snoozebutton
Pretty sad, coyotes will get it if the wolves don't.

Double D
Am I seeing this right that one back leg is gone and 1 is down to bone for walking? Holy cow!!This brings up the old debate about shooting a deer like that out of season. You would be doing it a favor in my opinion.DD
pinkfloyd4ever
I second that, wonder if the DNR would let you take it out of season, probably would say let nature handle it though.
BuckKiller
They might. I know a guy who shot one out of season because it was missing the lower half of its jaw. If you see it regularely id call them and find out what you or they can do... poor thing
Caleb S
What's legal isn't always ethical and what's ethical isn't always legal. I would put that animal down without even thinking twice.
jlm
I am willing to bet if you called a CO they would allow you to take the deer or they would come and do it. This deer should be put down, no question about it!
imhooked
The DNR or sheriff would do it.A few years ago, I was driving down HWY 35 in Wisconsin and I saw a live deer along the side of the road that was hit but couldnt move.I called the DNR office in Superior and asked if I could shoot it.There reply was it was not legal for me to shoot it but to call the sheriff and he would come out and shoot it and I could get a tag if I wanted to keep it.It was still tasty.Maybe the law is different in Minnesota but it wouldn't hurt to call. leech~~
Bearhunter, This is a very sad pix, but as I'm sitting here reading all the posts. I feel good about all the true feelings that are coming out from all us Hunting and Fisher people! We keep getting the short stick for being Killers all the time. But I think deep down in all of us we don't like to see this sad waste of any animal . Someone should send this post to PETA and let them see it! PETA would probably try to save it and put it through more pain than if it was shot.
bassNspear
Pretty sad, coyotes will get it if the wolves don't. I would have to agree on this as well!
DuckDog
Being Sportsmen we talk about being ethical and wanting an animal not to suffer. That being said this animal needs to be put out of its misery.
mrklean
we had a 3 leggd doe on one of our cams it was born without that leg, you would be suprised how they adapt to things and not get caught
DuckDog
This one has two legs and a bone beg
not_nuf_time
Looks to me like its been this way for a while already, and is getting by. You can see the leg is healed on its left side and that the muscle is shriveling away from none use. I agree it probably will get taken down by predators, but it sure has the will to live, so I would be more inclined to let it live as long as it can. My guess is that the shin bone will also keep wearing down. Sad, but alot of will to survive.
tearin' lips
This is sad. No one ever wants to see a beautiful animal like this one suffer. I hope something, or someone gets her soon so she won't have to suffer anymore.
pinkfloyd4ever
I would think it doesn't roam around too far if it has a food source there. I agree they got a strong will to live, but that looks like it would be hard to really move if it had to
