Morneau132
I caught a 24 1/2 inch largemouth that weighed at 6 lbs. 15 ounces in August on a very southern MN lake (Ellendale). Fish came on third cast with a orangish colored dipstick worm Slurpie. Took pictures and slipped back in the water.

Craig Plummer
I care more about getting a nice picture with me and the fish for my memory than taking a picture of a fish on a board. I don't care if people believe my measurements or not im not trying to impress anybody. I think most people just want to see the nice looking fish anyways, not nit-pick over exact lengths/weights. Nice Fish everyone, Craig btw: by my recollection this fish went somewhere around 28 inches and 11 lbs.
longcaster
I agree with you Craig, but if you do want to prove your point I would have the fish on a board or tape that you can see the numbers to tell how long the fish is.

May just be the skeptic in me , but when I hear 24"s or 25"s or even 23"s Im gonna say [PoorWordUsage] till I see it on a board. They are all nice fish that are being posted and I would love to catch any of em, but its hard to believe the higher #s without proof
Mark Christianson
I found this on the bragging board at Gander in Blaine. Since it has to be the largest one this guy ever caught, I am posting on his behalf.
cehlert
Here's a few of mine from the past couple of years. Where I live and fish they don't get real long but fat and stocky, so length measurements don't mean as much as weight. All of these are still swimming! What a blessing to live in a State that has not only numbers of fish but quality to go with it. Winters are long, but knowing what kind of fishing we have during open water makes it worth the wait. 7lb 9oz fish - Fall 07 - Weighed on state certified scale. Was only 21" long, little over 18" girth, but held that girth from back of head til back 1/4 of the fish. So going by length only this is an average fish. Nice big chunk caught 07 Spring - 5lbs 12oz One of many awesome days Fall 07 6lb even caught on a crank Fall 07 Nice pair caught early Fall 07 6lbs 6oz - weighed on state certified scale at resort 6lb 4oz fish caught in tournament - big fish Trio of 4lb 12oz fish caught in tournament - 5 fish over 19lbs
