Maybe Dtro can clarify

I was told we could get customization for an extra $4. That was the only specifics I had. I have an inquiry in right now to see how many characters are included with that and where we can put it.

My first choice is that the name arcs over the hole in back.

Sorry to be a little off topic, but have we come up with a solution to the head lamp getting in the way of the logo? Or is that not really an issue? Or must we absolutely remember to remove the headlamp prior to KOTC photos. I'm fine with whatever, just pondering.

Per the rules, the logo needs to be present and in clear view. I would prefer that the headlamps are removed (makes for a better picture anyways) however, that’s easier said than done. Even with a headlamp on, some of the logo should show and I’ll be able to zoom up and see it.

I guess the best thing to do is preview the picture on your camera before you release the fish. I would like to make exceptions, but that is a very slippery slope I don’t want to go down. I highly doubt anyone is going to be deceitful, but on this one rule I need to be firm.

Ya, I bought my hat last night. Should be cool and I hope I can start a lucky hat thing with it. I was just going to display the hat on a shelf, but I figure I will give the hat a couple trips and see if it brings luck. I never have had a lucky hat before for fishing, like my grandfather and great grandfather had.

Should be cool.

I just had an idea to distribute the hats, and just wanted to see what everyone thought.

The first annual KOTC Poker Invitational

.

Sometime in March when the hats are done we could meet someplace and have ourselves a little poker game. No limit Texas Hold’em…..winner takes all.

I know for sure there are quite a few that play from time to time, and I’ll give it a go every now and then whistle.gif

I believe the basic strategy is to take everyone else’s chips ;\)

I admit I don’t play a lot of no limit. But I’ve won a few tourneys at a couple of casinos.

I’m more of a low limit player. I’ve come up with a decent style that has worked for me so far. Basic style for me is assuming that I’m beat every time and play hands that will eventually become the nutz (best hand possible) and payoff bigtime. Those hands are mid to high suited connectors and high pocket pairs. In low limit, I’ll take the high suited connectors over high pocket pairs any day.

I like this idea! I only consider myself a Hold 'em novice and wouldn't be much of a contender, but it would be fun to have a little preseason gathering to meet and greet each other and get our snazzy new hats! \:D

Nah, as much as some people would like you to believe, there isn’t a whole lot of skill involved in poker. Yes, an experience player will have an advantage over a newbie, but once you have the pot odds/hand odds figured out, it always comes down to who is dealt the best cards.

It’s a lot like fishing ;\) maybe that’s why I like it so much. grin.gif

Darren you gots mail. I won't be able to make it down for Poker day. Summer gtg I would for sure like to make but ? ?

If you wanna throw something semi-informal up this way gtg-wise I'd be able to help with stuff too.

Anyone interested in the Red river Channels could sure get ahold of me for info or a days fishing too.

Can I make a request here that everyone who wants to partake in KOTC please email in a registration request? It's much easier to verify that everyone made it onto the list if I can simply count emails and count contestants on the list and make sure the counts match. I don't want to miss anyone's request if it gets buried in this forum thread. Thanks!
