So lets see or hear some of the interesting things that you do when the fish are not cooperating. Actually, my daughter and a frind did this a few years back on Lake of the Woods

I stare at a hole and put out a tipup. In my younger and more agile years I would throw on the ice skates and skate around for a while. The key here though is really changing baits, presentations, and movements. I really like having a camera along for this reason to see how the fish react to the different presentations and movements.

I myself, when fishing is slow.. I move.. I dont stick around long.. I had a few weird looks this weekend.. Pulled up on a spot, drilled a doz holes.. fished each one for about 60 seconds.. .left. Moved to a different lake event.

I can't belive nobody has said play cribbage yet. When I was a kid we used to play perch football.

Whenever things get slow or aren't fast enough for me I usually move to find more fish or go home. Most trips I am not too easily distracted. When I get a chance to fish I try to make the most of it.

Seriously, I grab the glass and start people watching. You'd be surprised some of the stuff you see, when people think that nobody is looking.

Start moving, look at lake maps, check the barometer, call other guides even on other lakes to see if they hit the same slow down and start fishing/figuring like mad looking for answers.
