For me fishing on the LOTW the Angel Eye Jr. is king and has been since it was introduced. Big or small that spoon will catch them all, I've iced Walleyes from 3 to 31 inches on these things. If I had to eat, could only bring 1 lure and needed to make sure to catch fish or I'd starve it would be one of those on my jig rod no doubt about it.

between the angle eye jr and rattlin varmit, they have put plenty of walleyes (and countless other fish) on the ice for me. tipped with a minnow head, they are hard to beat. those are my two favorites.

ML right with a kinda bouncy tip. 6 bb reel spolled with 4 or 6 pound fireline crystal. I like to put a red glow buckshot on and bounce it off the bottom.

I also like to stick a minnow on a red Gem-N-Eye or Eye Dropper under a bobber.

I'd feel lost on the ice if I forgot my cicadas. Tipped with a minnow head, they have caught more fish of every species I fish for than any other lure.

I got to say my best set up is my tackle box I end up throwing everything at them. even if I find something they like I still experiment with my second rod.

A plain red hook an split shot two inches off the hook an inches off the bottom or if the fish are agressive, red hook an split shot 8-10 inches off the hook an setting the split shot four to six inches off the bottom so the minnow has anywhere from 8 to 14" roam, thus keying in on a walleyes preditory response of chase the prey. I like to use rods in the porty but after the first few weeks of the season with bobber and jig on one and a spoon on the other. My number one rig as far as producing fish is the simplest, a rattle reel and a teardrop jig or plain hook with fatty on it. I even use a rattle reel in the porty instead of the bobber sometimes. That way when I am focusing on the spoon on the vex I don't miss any takes on the bobber.

I would agree that the Rattlin Varmits along with the Angel eyes are very good jigs as mentioned above. I also like to use the Go-Devils too. In the correct sizes, these all can be used for numerous specie.

one of my new jigs would have to be lindy's new rattle n flyer spoon perch color. I usually take off the treble and put a 2" stinger blood hook on. Full fat head or just the head.

Sweedish Pimple, silver and red with a red "spinner"near the hook and a minnow head. It's nothing new and nothing fancy but when I need to catch fish, it gets the job done.
