Ah yes, I watched that one too on Monday, along with The Snow Walker (Barry Pepper). Both were good movies IMO. Had a bout with the flu these past couple days so I had some time to catch up on movie watching. smirk.gif

Watched Stranger than Fiction and Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny, both horrible movies. Also School for Scoundrels that was alright. Talledaga Nights was an awesome movie, but if your a Nascar fan I would not recommend it.

Saw III--very little plot. graphic and gore. not very good

Health Inspector w/Larry the cable guy--some funny parts but mostly cheesey humor, not much plot. decent for a comedy

Last week I watched Talladega Nights and I thought it was pretty good. I would recommend it for race fans and nonrace fans.

I also saw the American Pie, the Naked Mile-- the acting was basically horrible, there were some funny parts and some parts/bits that dragged on too long. Plenty of frontal nudity for the men to enjoy though grin.gif and I mean plenty.

I went out and bought Borat today (release day) solely because when I had HBO I watched Da Ali G Show, and think Sacha Baron Cohen is a comic genius. I wasn't disappointed with it at all, very funny. Probably not for everyone though.

Just got done watching The Departed...all I can say is that is one he11 of a movie! I'd watch that bad boy again...in the future of course. Man, talk about suspense! DeCaprio has come a loooong ways as an actor!

The Return, I'll have to get the report from my wife...I don't watch that scary stuff....to gory. grin.gif

Was able to get in Borat, some funny parts in the movie wouldn't see it again. Fast Food Nation, gives me a new outlook when I order a burger from a fast food joint, would recommend to people and also the New Casino Royal James Bond flick, really good lots of action.

Seen Borat, and I felt really bad I even rented it, we should get our money back from them.....that was the dumbest movie I've ever seen, makes Napoleon Dynomite and Nacho Libre seem candidates for Oscars.

I began to watch Friends with Money, I quit after 10 minutes.

In few words I didn't have much luck with rentals this weekend, should have gone fishing.... grin.gif

The Departed was one of the only movies I've seen in a long time where 10 minutes from the end I have NO idea how it is going to wrap up. Keeps you guessing the whole trip. And a few laughs from the Hollywood-ed "Baauuustin" accent from the obvious non-east coasters (Alec Baldwin was hilarious). Definate recommedation for adults. No kid could follow the plot nor would they need to see most of the ugly stuff, though.

Two movies I give thumps up to

Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis and

Saints and Soldiers with a bunch of unknowns.

Saints won several film festivals and was made for less then one mil. Based on a true WW2 story I found it well done and very entertaining. I give them both 4 out of 5 stars. They can be found on net-flicks.

Thumbs up for me is Rocky Balboa.

I always liked the original Rocky and Rocky II, the others were junk. This one brought back the original idea of the movie.

I also like the fact it's a PG with NO foul language, NO nudity, NO gore, this to me was a big plus, I can sit down and watch it with my children and no worries.

I was impressed with Rocky Balboa, always liked his movies.

It was nice the 1st hour of the movie kept flashing back to the other movies showing Adrian and all the places they have been to.

Also got in Blood Diamond this weekend, another good movie that I would recommend to everyone.

I'm a huge rocky fan! Bought the box set and watch it pretty much any time it's on TV. Well, except for # 3 and 5. I'm going to pick up the new flick sometime this week.

So what's the story with Adrian? Is she dead?

Got the movie "Blood Diamond" for tonight...I'll let you know my opinion later.

It's later...12:45 a.m. to be exact and we just finished watching the movie and it was great! I don't believe I have ever seen a movie with so many facets...Action, drama, love, sacrifice, explosions, automatic weapons fire, politics, heroics, scenery, carnage, human spirit, history, if you look, you can find just about anything in this movie!

Decaprio is one riveting actor, as is his co-star....if this movie doesn't keep you big eyed, interested and on the edge of your seat, gnawin on your one good nail, no movie will...this sucker is really intense...start to finish!

Furthermore, alot of what goes on in this movie is actually based on true events and those events are still going on today in a country that is termed "The Cradle Of Civilization'!

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
