Crow Hunter
I put in a mineral site this weekend using BLB's mix, and hung my new camara over it. I went back 24 hours later before I left for home, and found the camara facing a different direction, with the strap frayed. Checked my pictures and found one of a bear looking into the camara... How high on the tree do you guys typically hang a camara? If I hang it out of a bear's reach I would not get pictures of what is passing by. Or do you put it up higher on a leaning tree? Maybe bear damage is just another thing to worry about along with camera theft...
Gissert
They could very possibly be burrs. This doe is a loner, and has no fawns that I have seen this year. She spends a LOT of time near a lake in thick cover. I only have 2 or three snaps of her this year. The other two does that have fawns do not seem to tolerat her in the camera location. Mark Christianson
CrowYou need to get a bear box for the camera, or whatever they call them.I put mine 36 inches off the ground, but we have no bears to deal with either.........

not_nuf_time
Hey Catman, go to the photos thread, and in the first couple subthreads you'll find directions on how to post a picture. It takes some time to figure it out at first, then it's easier as you do it more often.

UNDBowhunter
Does anyone know what that "tumor" is off that antler. Is it just extra velvet or blood because its ready to rub??
CodyDawg
kinda looks like a scrotum. let the jokes begin....!
chucker34
Here is a monster. JK. One of the many yearling bucks coming through, which is a good thing if they can make it past the temptation of a second year bowhunter who has not taken a buck. Seriously, though, I am really going to try and not take a shot at one this year as I'd like to see them grow. I'm just going to hunt more. My wife will like that. Anyway, thought this was a nice picture, that's all. Neat imagery.

Swamp Scooter
On that smaller buck with the lump. It looks like it is a big ball of blood under the velvet. Maybe he hit it and ruptured one of the blood vessels but did not break the velvet.
Underwood
Got to check the cam after 3 weeks, looks like it could be a fun bowhunting opener. Had at least 4 nice bucks and a bunch of small one running around. This one appears to have 3 horns? Real Nice 6 point Check out the growth by the back leg A nice 8 point to keep an eye on And last 3 pictures of the one I'll be waiting for!! jltimm
Did you notice on the third pic down from the top the lump up by the front of the rear leg? A possible old wound?
