Time to drag out the calendar and plan for summer! Is there anywhere that you are REALLY excited about going this summer? I was Looking at the GREAT rsort list here on Fishing Minnesota and thought about where I would LOVE to go this year!

1. Try For some Kittys on the Red

2. Devils Lake (The Idea of fishing in trees, and houses sounds kind of cool!)

3. Back to Lake Vermilion! (54"er please!!!)

Northwest Bay of Rainy Lake in July. Been going there for nearly 25 years and missed last year for the first time ever! You talk about withdrawls!!! Someone throw me a bone here because I gotta gnaw on something! crazy.gifcrazy.gifgrin.gif

Probably will hit the same resort next winter to ice up some 'eyes and crappies too.

As always, I will start and end my season up on Kabetogama. The amount of stuff I get to explore in between will depend on three things--Time available, Cash Flow, and the MOOD OF MY WIFE. grin.gif

Only trip so far is the Sturgeon trip in April. That one will be a real rush. smile.gifsmile.gif

I also will make a couple runs to the pond for some eyes and would like to try for Musky on the pond once.

I also have a friend who goes catfishing in North Dakota and he asked if I would like to spend a week or so catching catfish.I might as well give it a shot. She is a free trip. smile.gif

Corey...

We've already got six trips to the cabin in Two Harbors slated and one to the Alex area. I'll get my annual dose of Lake Superior for sure and maybe Carlos will be a target too.

Aside from the cabin trips, I am not too much on traveling to fish. Gotta do Superior though...without fail. This gets underway next month.

1. Sturgeon trip in April

2. Lac Seul for a week in July. I haven't been to Canada on open water for about 7 years time to get back there.

Then there will be plenty of trip to our cabin at Long Lake by Park Rapids.

Great topic for early March!!!!!

- Florida in a couple weeks, hoping to catch some redfish or sea trout while I'm there.

- Erie for a week in April, a troller's paradise for giant walleyes

- Upper Red Lake for walleye opener (with about a million other guys from the sound of it)

- Lac Qui Parle this summer, one of my favorite lakes to fish because it is SOOOOO different than "typical" walleye water

- Will probably get to Winnie and Lac Seul this summer but nothing firm planned yet

- Mille Lacs under the full moon (and many other nights) this fall

Come on spring, come on summer cool.gif
