So what did "Santa" bring you?

I'd just tell her that you will be able to put food on the table. Where as if she had spent the $400 on diamonds, all you can do is look at it. Of course, I'm a single guy that gave my last wife jumper cables for Christmas one year so you might not want to take my advice.

Just got back from the get-together with the family. Got to see a cousin that I haven't seen in 'bout 10 years, so that was good. The Santa-Wife got me a MarCum LX-i (the handheld)...which is what I wanted. Also got a couple gift cards for Fleet Farm...among other things. All in all, a pretty good Christmas.

Well from being lucky enough to have two christmas get togethers this year I was fortunate to already get a Lowrance I Finder GPS w/ two navionics chips along with some other assorted cold weather gear... So round two after I get home from work here and get a lil sleep... I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and get to test out your new toys soon...

Well, lately, my wife is recovering well from the stroke she had this year(age,55), my biopsy came back negative for the big C, my oldest son was activated, but is being sent to Afganistan instead of Iraq, my youngest dog came home all okay from surgery at the vet's this morning from a bone chunk lodged in her intestine ($670), and my new medication has kept the annual Christmas depression wolf away from my door this year. I,d say I'm ahead on points. It's like, any crash landing you can walk away from is a good one. Right now I'm at work making double time and a half. laugh.giflaugh.gif

The UPS Santa brought me a Marcum LX-1 on Wednesday. He really didn't bring it for me. He brought it for my wife and daughter so they don't feel the need to swipe my LX-3 when fishing together. The old Vexilar was rendered unusable with the LX-3 next to it.

Oh, and I'll probably slap it on the boat for summer fishing.

Santa was good to us this Christmas, very good! We reconnected with family members we had'nt seen in a long time and it was wonderful! We laughed and visited and ate and ate and laughed and had a Christmas eve the way it is supposed to be! We played a few hands of cribbage and Texas holdem and caught up with the nephews and nieces and took alot of pictures.

Santa (And emergency vet care on Coon Rapids Blvd.) gave us this one last season with our 16 year old dog, he will make it through the holiday season and that in itself is a tremendous gift.

We got our material things to and some were so considerate and caring and so packed with the Christmas spirit, that it just about brought tears to your eyes! Wonderful Christmas, wonderful!

First off I gave myself a nice Christmas present. I went out and bought a new Eskimo Shark Z51 8". Tomorrow I get to test it out for the first time. grin.gif

I also ended up getting a new rod/reel, the 8 rod Croxton Pond Ice bag, and some nice insulated jeans with a flannel shirt. I even got a few gift certificates to the candy store (Gander Mtn). tongue.gif

Other than that it was a great Christmas once again.

A week ago, my oldest son flew off to get processed for active duty in Afganistan. Since I'm on night shift, I was in my bathrobe about noon when he walked into the house. The commanding officer in Georgia had told them that virtually nothing would be done until the new year and they could go on leave until then. When I told him that this gives him a chance to ice fish with me, he said" Oh gee, go out on a frozen lake or spend time with my wife, which should I do?" I don't think he'll be fishing.

It was a great Christmas surprise.
