was on paul lake by perham had about 4-5" ice in spots ice was fishing. also went to big pine, over 6" everywhere i was at there.

i was out on baxter today i zimmerman/princeton area about 6inches of ice caught about 20 sunnies no keepers but it was nice to be out.

Does any one know any thing about Shakopee Lake. It is 2 miles southwest of Eddy's Resort on Mille Lacs. I am looking to go up there next week and wanted to know what the ice was like and how the fishing is.

There were a few guys out on Med saturday morning. They said that they had 3.5 inches of ice. This was right out in front of the park on the west side.

Went out on Auburn Lake just west of Victoria yesterday. 4" of ice everywhere I went--no bites, but nice to be out.

Any reports for Bald Eagle, White Bear or Centerville? My brother in law coming in from New York wants to go Sunday December 26th while he is in town.

Jughead - I drove by BE and WB yesterday. Looked like the middle of WB got blown open again with all the wind on Saturday. I did see one portable (very close to shore) in the western most bay (by VFW).

Saw another lone portable on BE. That one was farther out.

I headed up to Anne Lake (Mora) and was suprised to only find 4-5 inches of ice. Fishing was very slow

Bald Eagle had at least 4-5 inches on friday on the southeastern part of the lake I was fishing on friday. I havn't checked it since, or any other parts of the lake, but I did see some people farther out on saturday. There were a few people fishing the 10 foot hole on the south west part of white bear yesterday. I may go out today to scout wb a little more. I'll let you know what I find

I just drove by Centerville and there were 30 guys out there. There were 2 permanents out the and the rest were portables. I dont know if the fish are biting but they must be there are a lot of guys out there. The are all spread out on the lake.

one guy i work with was on the north end of bald eagle yesterday, he said there was 5 to 6 inches of ice, he caught two 6 pound norhterns and his brother a 10 pounder.

I assume Riley is still pretty thin, but I want to try Red Rock Christmas weekend. Its hard convincing myself to go drill holes for thickness in the dark.

Portables are out on main Medicine lake now, but I think I'll hold off until after Xmas (I think I better put Christmas first on my to do list!) Harty's will open on Christmas day 9-5.

the average ice around Montgomery area is 5-8 inches. That's on Greenleaf, Shields, Cody. Greenleaf is slow right now and shields wasn't producing much, my buddys pulled up some nice walleyes out of cody. I haven't been out yet but my school mates go out everyday. The only thing i've been doing is working on the ice house getting it done, got the siding done today, insulating and the paneling done. and everything is wired. It's getting closer.

coon had 11" in chanel, a car drove out on the ice sunday. it was a great day for fishing. lots of small pike with a 34"er.

We were out on Minnetonka this evening. Had 6 inches solid ice and very consistent. I think we were one of the first on the lake - as I drive by every day and have seen anybody out yet - and nobody else but us as far as I could see tonight. Didnt think we would even get out - initially just walked out to check the ice thickness - and was pleasantly suprised with 6 inches - went back to the truck and hauled out the portable and fished until evening - it was great to get out!

Has anyone been on Upper Cormorant or Middle?? If so what are the ice conditions out there? Was the ice blown around at all? Any info would be great!! Keep them bobbers down!!

I am planning on heading out on Thursday as well. I have seen a few houses out by the grass island on Bald Eagle, and heard that the eyes are biting. School is a good lake but is a PIA because there is no place to park, at least not until the ice is thick enough.

Does anybody know of any lakes that the ice is thick enough to venture out on with an ATV? Specifically, Bald Eagle, Forest, Rush, Coon or any others that are safe for an ATV.

I was out on Lake Minnetonka Phelps Bay last night. A solid 7-8 inches all over.

rip, there is good ice out on middle, been atv's out there for a week now. the mid part of the lake may be a bit thiner, but walkable for sure.

As of 12/23, Bald Eagle has ten inches of ice. Fishing was terrible, three crappies in eight hours. We were able to locate them but they just weren't biting at anything we threw at them.
