  1. I am looking at getting a new insulated skin for my Otter cabin, but after reading this I am looking at the Canvas Craft skins. My current Otter has the new poles in it and they work great. I looked at the Canvas Craft pole system, and it looks cheap and flimsy. Do you have to use the Canvas Craft poles that come with it or will the skin fit the Otter poles?
  2. I Love Teeth Under the DWI statutes 169A.01 subd.1 unless otherwise indicated, the provisions of this chapter apply to any person who drives, operates, or is in physical control of a motor vehicle within this state or on any boundary water of this state. 169A.03 subd.15 defines a motor vehicle as "every vehicle that is self-propelled and every vehicle that is propelled by electric power obtained from overhead trolley wires. The term includes motorboats in operation and off-road recreational vehicles, but does not include a vehicle moved solely by human power." So no you can not get a DWI will riding a bike. The bike statutes do not say that a bike is considered a motor vehicle or have to follow the same laws as a motor vehicle. It just states that they have to follow traffic laws. The Traffic law statute 169 is different than 169A which is the DWI statute.
  3. I just got my 2 OPS Luminators in the mail today and they work great. I thought they were going to be ridged but they are very felxible. I am planning on buying 2 more now and putting them in my Ottor cabin pro 1 over each hole and 1 over each seat.
  4. I think yesterday was a great day to be out. Me and RylFlsh85 were out in the Pelican Rapids area all day. The temp read anywhere from -23 to -33, we were the only ones in a portable. The fishing was a little slow however.
  5. Well I know it has been awhile since I posted this but I just got around to fixing the problem after driving to Fargo and spending 4 hours in a car with no heat when its -25 outside. Man did that suck. I was going to do what airjer suggested but thought I would start out by taking off some other hoses first, to try and keep the mess down. I found the air pocket on the first hose. It was one of the hoses that come off of the heater core that goes into the water pump. I have been driving around with heat for a week now, but today on the way into work I noticed the air is getting cooler again. I have no coolant leaks and I am wondering how the air is getting into the lines. I have noticed that the car seems to be running a lot cooler than normal. Any more thoughts. Thank you guys.
  6. I had this happen about a month ago. I was fishing and about 2 hours in I started to get what I thought was interference. About 30 or 40 mins later it stopped, than about 2 hours later it started again. I had my underwater camera with so I put it down, it was a school of hundreds of bait fish. About an hour after that I caught a 26 1/4" walleye, my pb.
  7. Free. OLD!!! Mankato style fish house 4’x6’. It has a wood base and green heavy cloth canvas. I have not had it set up in about 4 years but last time I used it, it had a 4 or 5 inch rip in one of the corners near the base. Also part of the canvas needs to be reattached to the base, mainly in the corners. I will be out of town until 1/2/09 but if you are interested sent me an email [email protected], I am located in Lino Lakes. I can set it up on Friday and get some pics. If no one wants it, it is going in the dumpster on 1/9/08.
  8. Do these have the same sled as the Otters?
  9. Forage minnow, smallest size, and glow back with orange front. It also must have the blood red treb. hook.
  10. I was out on North Lida near Pelican Rapids on Thurs. and there was 17" of good clear ice. Ice fishing before Thanksgiving and driving on the ice before Christmas, can't get much better than this.
  11. The first time this happened to me was about 4 years ago. I had spent most of the day on the ice and caught 2 walleyes. They had been on the ice for about 4 or 5 hours and it was about 10degrees out. They were frozen soild when I got home so I put them in the sink with cool water to let them thaw out before cleaning them. I went into the living room and was on the phone for about 15 mins when I heard a noise from the kitchen. My first thought was that some one was in my house. As I got closer to the kitchen I could hear the noise again. I walked in to find one of the walleyes swimming in the sink. I went over to look at it and it must have saw me because it started to freak out. Since then I have had it happen a few more times. Crazy.
  12. I am looking at buying an Otter Lodge, but the only thing I am worried about is pulling it. I do not own a ATV or snowmobile so I have to pull it by hand. Right now I have a suitcase Frabill 4x6' and a small otter sled full of my gear and gas auger. I pull them one behind the other, will I have a problem pulling the Lodge by hand?
  13. I do understand what you want to do and it sounds good except for one thing. The otter sled is much tall than your eskimo which means you canvas would more than likely not go all the way to the ice, right next to the sled. I really think that you should go with the 32x64 rather than the 74x38 if you do go with an otter sled. But like I said the major problem would be the canvas going all the way to the ice, unless you have a idea for that.
