After just looking at my mounted northern on the wall it looks like they just cut all the way around the jaw bone

After zooming in on the original pic it kinda looks like a torn jaw, not saying it is, but just looks fishy smirk

Not trying to be a party p00per but definitely a torn jaw. Just look at the flesh wounds and how it separated unevenly. I have seen or caught a Northern like this before and its no dna defect. Two jaws would grow and develop actually like two jaws. Snout, teeth, etc. Imagine your neck and throat being torn and separated from your mouth and face. OUCH!

The fish I caught was starving and paper thin skinny. Its not going to be able to feed like that and will eventually die from starvation. My guess is it was caught before and either someone purposely tore it its mouth or something happen to where it tore and separated. It was as good as dead. All you did was by catching and eating it you put it out of its misery... cry

Man I got busted quickly on that one. That's correct. Can't remember the name of the place, but they have some great food.

the two headed pike is up in Duluth at a bar i have that picture as well

I think the jaw is torn as well, but its cool the fish was alive and eating. Ill take all that back if you end up growing a second mouth from eating the fish
