Any place in the South Metro to check these suits out?? My buddy and I both purchased AA, and are both interested in these. While speculating on the quality of these, he told me "can't get much worse than AA", and took the words right out of my mouth. I had a Mustang coat ordered, but they are really spendy and have a 6 week lead time, which is well beyond early ice, so I think I may cancel and give these a shot if I can find a place to look at them. If I end up buying a set I'll give an honest review come early January after our Canada trout trip. Hopefully we have the typical -20 to -30 temps so I can give it a good try sitting out on a snowmobile all day.

Not quite sure why you state they cannot get much worse than the AA suit.

I have numerous suits and I have been more than happy with my AA suits. Use them year round, one is 4-5 years old and is still going strong.

If the temps drop to the -25 to-30 range, then the Sno Suit comes out and I dount either of the suits you speak of will match the Sno Suit for warmth.

The Sriker suit looks very interesting. The more competition the better. Still blows my mind the big boys haven't gotten on board with a floating suit yet, seems like a no brainer.

I too have been happy with my AA, haven't had a problem going on 3 years now. I love how light it is, not bulky at all. Great for hole hopping!

I have stated many times how warm the Sno Suit clothing is.

I agree CJH that when it comes to the AA clothing, one can move very easily with it on. One can hole hop in pretty cool temps with much for restrictions at all.

Hopefully all companies will come out with a suit as that can only help the competiton and keep the prices down a bit for all of us.

The first time I held a Sno Suit, I thought, wow this suit is bulky and it is to some degree but once on, it does not seem near as heavy or bulky. Yes, it is bulkier than an AA suit or a Ice armor suit but it is also in a class of it's own when it comes to warmnth.

I guess there is a time and a place for each suit.

If one is looking for some very warm gloves or mitts, check out the Sno Suit line as there are all that. The mitts are warmer than the gloves as most are but the finger gloves are nice also just not quite as warm as the mitts.

The AA suitis good for warm temp ice fishing or fishing out of a shack. No way is it good for cold weather. Have had a few issues with my AA seems ripping and straps on bibs tearing. Emailed AA multiple times with no answer. The best suit for warth is the sno suit, but it does not float. I would definitely research the other floater suit companies when making this investment, AA does have issues.

Dtro it definitley faded will they stand up and take care of the problem???? Does the suit still float that would be my question. By reading all these early ice posts,I would recommend more early ice fisherpersons buy these suits. DTro you do look better in orange, I would bet a new suit will we coming shortly.

I have researched as much that is out there on the Striker Suit and im pretty sure Santa will be bringing me a pair of the Lite bibs. Im not a fan of insulated suits. We just dont get the extreme cold out here plus im so used to layering right. But I have been wanting the floating feature for a while...

I have tried on the AA's numerous times and the coat fits me well but the bibs just dont feel right. The adjustable legs on the Striker and the full length zipper sold me!

Just got my new Striker suit. (Grey/black suit) Man is this a well thought out suit. Very well made and pockets all over and one great thing is the bib leg zippers come to the hips so taking on and off with boots on will be much easier.

The material is heavy duty than my AA suit and its a bit heavier over all. I would say its close to the middle between a AA suit and Sno Suit. The legs have a snap design so you can shorten them up if needed.

I will report back on the on ice performance once I get out on the ice again. Right now its 40 degrees and drizzle so its not good ice making conditions. I know the Striker Suit will float me but I really dont want to test that performance out any time soon. wink
