Ill do my best to be spoiler free

We dont know if we lost anyone but not so sure. My predictions on who would go was way off but for a few moments i thought i nailed a couple.

The ending was ho hum though. Reminded me of season two, just ended it didnt make me think wow i cant wait for October. Not a dud but just was expecting more.

Kind of a letdown of a season finale, I thought. I think everyone assumed that Terminus was what it turned out to be, so there was no surprise there. Still, Season 4 was much better than Season 3 (though wayyyyy behind S1 and 2); I think there's hope that S5 will be interesting.

In thinking back on it a little, I don't wonder if the cries for help were terminus people leading them towards the train car.

I did like the bit where when they came in the back door the guy says "I guess Albert was on watch"

SPOILERS if you haven't seen it yet

Obviously I am glad Daryl came back, you had to know he would align with Rick. What a fight scene and Rick went Psycho Dad on that dude. Wow!

Would Rick, Michonne and Daryl recognize the gal who's name I can't think of as being a part of the Governor's group? I imagine Michonne would, but they are all in it together now.

I hope Rick mans up a little bit and turns into the BA leader he needs to be. I am not sure how he can do much being he is locked in a train car, but I am sure the writers will find an epic way of escape. I am glad they didn't eat Glen.

So the entire thing was some sort of a trap as figured, however I don't understand why they would have sniped the one terminus dude who Rick had in a headlock. I have to wonder if it was their way of testing outsiders, much like Rick's group does the 3 question thing. I guess terminus dude drew the short straw that day. Ha!

They had it all laid out so that it led them directly into the open near the train car and the snipers on the roofs were obviously only shooting at their feet on purpose to steer them into the direction they wanted them to go. The guy wearing the riot gear and gal with the poncho were placed there as bait to get Rick and the group's attention as a test I would guess. The pocketwatch too. All were way too obvious.

The other part that was odd is that they asked Rick and the other three to put their weapons down when they first got there, gave them a pat down, and then let them take their weapons back again. ??? That makes no sense whatsoever.

At least something happened in this episode so that the second half of Season 4 wasn't a complete flop. Worst 1/2 a season of the series so far and glad it's over.

The actual episode was actually pretty good. However, it has to be considered a huge let down considering it's a season finale and all the build up leading up to it.

Did anyone else notice they were being corralled just like how Rick explained the rabbit trap?

I was pretty disappointed in the episode though. I'm not feeling like "I can't wait for october!" at all. And I actually fear the 1st couple episodes of next season are gonna be snooze tests.

Food for though. How does a place like terminus exist without getting wiped out by the governor, while he was still running woodbury?

Really not happy with the ending... I get the cliff hanger thing but cmon give us somekind of info to grind on for 6 months. But Rick going walker on Joe was a WOW moment!

I also wanted to know about the guy on the tracks that was bit, that sent Carol and Tyreese there... [PoorWordUsage] is up with that?

Weapons are right outside the place buried... check.

you know they had some weapons hid on their bodies somewhere... check.

It is only a metal car that they will somehow find a weakness in... check

boda bing they will crush them next season... check.

And no sighting of Carol and Ty. Trying to think of the time line, but I think, in the story, they would have been ahead of Rick's group? Arriving there but when? After Glen but before Rick?

So, could it be what is cooking on the grill, dare I say, white meat, dark meat and filet mignon?

Interesting thought about Terminus vs Woodbury, didn't think about that all.

Seems like folks are pretty on the fence about this episode, many not liking it much, but it was by far the best of this season for me. The scene with Rick and Joe was really BA! I watched the Talking Dead after and Andrew Lincoln (Rick) actually used raw chicken to simulate Joe's neck meat for realism. That's taking your job seriously. I knew Rick was British, but to actually hear him speak in that jolly/upbeat dialect was very strange!

I know that Terminus turning out to be a trap, etc., is a bit cliché, and they knew that was a distinct possibility going into it. It would have made more sense to send in a couple or even one scout and hold a couple back. You think they'd be pretty gun-shy after the Governor, but that's just one of many nit-picky things that will always be wrong with this show. You either go with it and move past the inconsistencies or you won't ever enjoy the fun concept. I'm learning to just look past little (and big) issues and realize I'm watching a show about a zombie apocalypse and not some horrible reality junk or another cop drama or another medical drama, etc. It's the only show of it's kind on TV and it's still fun for me.

I did notice that - neat bit of parallel action. They made it a bit TOO obvious though...Rick would surely have noticed them firing at their feet, and SOMEONE would surely have noticed that they were being herded towards doors marked with a big A.

All in all, I liked it. I think the overall season could have been cut about 3 episodes shorter, but the finale was good with a juicy cliffhanger to boot. Nice to see Hershel in a better light for a send-off, too. Maybe Beth, too?

All the talk about being hungry and wanting to eat, plus the 2 minute talk about how to effectively set a snare (look for a track, funnel the prey, hide the snare, etc...) was a little too obvious in its foreshadowing. Subtle like a sledgehammer. I didn't see Rick and Co. getting away from Joe's crew, but I guess biting a live man's artery after seeing a grown man on top of your teenage son will give you a big shot in the arm. More Cannibalism foreshadowing. I thought Daryl might have been more help on walking up on Joe with a gun to Rick's head, but I don't know how the timing was when he realized it was Rick. You'd think he would have recognized one of them and been able to take a couple out from the dark.

Doesn't look like the smoke was from Terminus after all, unless that was them just getting the grill fired up. Speaking of Terminus, that place looks like a well oiled machine, and I really don't see Rick's Travelling Funtime Band getting out without help from outside. I thought the pat-down and weapons showing was a nice touch, but I have got to think one of them may have hidden a knife or something in a boot. More to come, I'm sure.

post-40183-Terminus-candles-names-meme-W

What was with the names and candles? Tributes to past meals? Some of them had cities and ages by them, too, 17 being the youngest I saw. Also, the writing on the wall (Never Again. Never Trust, We First, Always) made it sound like they had bad times before and had arrived at this current state of living. The forced rat maze run was a little convoluted, but they had to get them to the train car I suppose. I saw the boneyard too, and had to rewind (is that what we call it on a DVR?) to confirm that is what I saw. Why didn't Glenn's group run out of the train car the instant the door opened? They had to have heard the "corralling".

Looks like Carol and Tyreese (and Judith) are still out there, but I don't know how they will not get swept up themselves. Having a baby squawking will give their position away, and also restrict them from being too risky in their actions. Also: Where's Beth? Didn't notice her fancy new yellow golf shirt (covered in zombie goo) around when Rick scanned the crowd.

Rick DID notice they were shooting at their feet and said as much after Michonne said that she didn't think they were trying to kill them.

I still can't believe they got trapped by a bunch of hipsters. Rick is losing his touch.

My bet is Hipster #2 didn't get shot at all, or at least with anything lethal. All part of the grand illusion.

I thought it was a good episode and enjoyed the last half of the season. Once the prison fell they lost Hershel, got split up, had very little food or water, chased by walkers and other people. There was no place they could really feel safe. They were desperate, hungry, tired, and scared. It was worth the risk to check out Terminus. Like Pikestabber said, it's just a show, have fun with it. From what I read afterwards the grill master is the one that shot the guy Rick was holding. She apparently was trying for Rick but missed. Maybe too much Tetonka Dust on her hands to get a good sight picture. Rick's quote from the end was straight from the comic. He said it just before they wiped out the hunters.

Got caught up, can finally read this thread. I think Terminus has some real Jim Jones type of shenanigans going on. Plenty to suggest that humans are up for barbecue. Not sure what to make of the lack of security and not taking weapons. Good finish. Was nice to tie Michonne's backstory together.
