No discussion on the last episode?

I'll open with, I'm surprised that the Woodbury population was not really represented on the counsel. Or did I miss something?

I'm glad that they haven't overblown the virus story. Seems like a good internal arc but the story needs a villain. A villain evil enough to bait walkers to break down the fences. Who's doing it, and is it an inside job?

I'm wondering if Beth burned the bodies. It seems like the rest of the population wouldn't be ready to accept it but it may be the right thing to do with a virus spreading.

Sasha is on the counsel. She is Tyreese's sister.

I'm thinking that young girl was feeding "Nick".

Dragging a person isn't easy. I'm betting it's not Beth. Maybe the Dr. or Carol? Carol is turning into a Michonne wanna be.

There was a preview they showed during the Talking Dead. Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese and Bob have an interesting road trip. wink

I don't think Rick thought of the best idea in the world to lure walkers away from the fence. I'm guessing they're getting rid of the pigs to be safe, but why didn't Hershel check them out? He's a veterinarian for pete's sake! Why don't they just drive around in a truck running the walkers over? I think the girl feeding them makes the most sense, but I'm completely clueless as to who burned the bodies.

I am losing interest in the show. The contradictions just keep adding up and I can't get around it. I think it is the lack of a common goal (other than survival). The first season had people grouping up and going to Atlanta and the CDC. When that didn't work out, it stumbled on Herschel's farm (horrible during the middle of the season). SHTF and then the show moved to the jail. Then it completely went bonkers with Woodbury and the Gov. Now the show is pretty stagnant with no real direction, and I am not as invested as I once was. There are only so many "everyone is safe and then walkers get in and we struggle to take care of it and then regroup" episodes that I can handle. I think maybe LOST ruined me for weekly serial dramas...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I can't stop thinking about: Didn't most if not all of the people leave Woodbury leave to go to the jail? Is the fortified, walled, armed area with supplies, power, and water sitting there empty? I don't remember it getting torched or anything, just abandoned. At what point did they decide that the jail was a better option than that? I can't imagine that they at the very least wouldn't have gone back and stripped that place clean, but no mention has been made and life is still pretty miserable at the jail even with bedsheets and books.

YEah I would think that woodbury would be picked clean and brought back if possible... As for the feeding rats I will go with the little girl. The bodies I am leaning Sasha just because of a hunch... and the way she jumped on having people be quarantined. What I don't get is did the people die before they were head shot/stabbed and drug with a blood trail to be burnt? Or were they just sick?

This is my first season where I am watching it weekly, I didn't watch it until this winter when I got the seasons. You guys are right about the whole concept of being holed up in the prison is getting tired. The first season and half the second had the whole idea of finding help or looking for hope which was great story telling, now its biding its time with them in the prison.

Yes, the girl is the one who is feeding the walkers is my thought too.

To drag the bodies out has to be someone a bit stronger, but Carol is a wild card, but on the other hand its a bit sloppy/messy. I wanted to think Rick but I think he would be more discreet about it, or cautious in disposing of the bodies. Maybe I am over analyzing it. So I am going with Glenn, just to add a little conflict between the woodbury vs prison groups

It doesn't have to be the same person feeding and burning. The girl might be feeding "Nick". I think the new guy medic is the person that burned the bodies. He has first hand experience with illness running rampant and the need to get ahead of it by employing seemingly ruthless means. Plus, for some reason this show can't have more than one black male in the story at a time it seems. This would be a new conflict that would give the show a reason to ax another character. Look at the past seasons and you'll notice it too, and I think that it is odd.

Right, I dont think the same person is feeding the walkers and burned the bodies.

I think beth would be able drag the bodies and I assume they were already dead.

I would be disappointed if one of the girls is feeding Nick. The season still needs a vilain. Besides, why would there be kids anywhere near the fence unsupervised.

I think there is an element of Sophia driving Carol teach the kids.

I dont get the one african american either and am surprised no one has really called them on it. The first two seasons of T-Dog and everyone knew it meant token, a la Southpark.

Disappointed. Three episodes in and we still don't have a villain. A virus is not a villain. A virus is boring lazy writting because it has no personality. A virus is not a dynamic character. It runs its course and is not able to react unpredictably to stimulus.

I was fine with last week's episode where the virus was not the main storyline but this week was really disappointing.

Other than a couple short high tension scenes, this season has been a yawner. I expect there to be some slower episodes to build up to a high drama or high tension episode. They haven't given us anything more than a scene here or there.

This season gets two more episodes before I pull the plug. Honestly, I wish I would have watched the world series last night instead of wasting my time on that episode.

I notice you said watch world series instead of Vikes/Pack game... I didn't want to watch that either... Season is still slow starting... there has got to be something at the Vet college or this season is losing steam fast.

Assuming they have to go back to the prison to get a new vehicle.

It will take them two plus episodes to make it to the Vet supply at the rate they are going.

Part of my reasoning for two episodes is to give them time to develope the radio transmission. Somehow, I suspect that was a teaser for next season given how slow this one is going.

And yes, wrote off the Vike's a few games into last season. They have needed an offensive line for years. I was hoping Kalil would have helped solved some problems but it wasn't enough to help them. It doesn't matter what quarterback they put back there. Even Farve was running for his life for the entire second season as a Vike. The problem goes back that far. Doesn't matter what coach, quarterback, receivers, or running back, they will all fail until they get some protection.

My speculation was correct that Carol was the one behind burning the bodies. I wonder what Tyreese is going to do with that tidbit of info, assuming he survives the mega hoard. Rick didn't look like he knew what to do.

I'm liking the sickness theme so far. It's forcing them to confront something they can't see or stop no matter what. It also is forcing them further and further from the prison for supplies, which has it's own problems. Hershel's talk about everything, including breathing, being able to kill you was rather sobering. I think it will drive those who are left out of the prison sometime this season. Well that and the ever expanding hoard outside the fence.

As far as human villains goes, the Governor and his two sidekicks are in listed this season as recurring characters. A few others will make their debuts later also.

So far this season has been a complete dud! The episodes haven't been terrible, but they have left me quite disappointed every time! I seen something on Facebook comparing the story lines of walking dead with the toy story movies…it is uncanny!

Anyone see Marilyn Manson on the talking dead? Oh my goodness! Talk about a complete downer! He looked/sounded heavily sedated, and it just made the atmosphere weird.

How did a vet and a doctor not give input to the supply raid parties that they should pick up ANY Meds they stumble across and stockpile them? This show is ridiculous. "Oh, you mean people are getting sick? I guess we should have been telling you to pick grab the antibiotics in the back when you were picking up the diapers and formula for Lil' Asskicker. Oops." Looks like "Carl Grimes: Psychopath" is coming back, too. A hat and a gun can really change a boy.

Rick must have some serious pipes to take down a guy with a hundred pounds on him, let alone a zombie melee champion. Tyreese can take down dozens of walkers with a crowbar? Put that guy in some riot gear and set him loose on the other side of the wall to thin the numbers...

And no-one told Daryl that the first rule of zombie driving school is to have the driver keep his or her eyes on the road, and let the guy riding shotgun run the radio. The guys in back can rifle through the cd case. Plus: getting high-centered on corpses? Hilarious.

Also: MEGA WALKER HERD!!!! Looks like the jail may be a shorter term option that we thought.

I thought it was a good episode last sunday. The scene after Daryl's driving mishap and looking up to see a million walkers was pretty cool. And they have the radio transmission, something that can keep them looking for something/someone. I am thinking out loud, perhaps its the Governor broadcasting to lure them in and/or lure other people in to develop his own new woodbury?

Carol is a good one for setting the fires, she did do it, but if Rick tells Ty is he going to believe Rick or not? I say not.

I think the virus has the potential to be a good story, in the human paranoia part of the story, now if anyone even sneezes there is going to be immediate distrust of that person, which could make some drama. If one sneezes they quarantine them but if Carl sneezes will Rick allow for Carl to be quarantined?

Rick gets to kick out Carol (or at least led her to believe she should leave) even though she is on the council? I'd go out on a limb and say that Carol is probably one of the most level-headed survivalists left in the group with the foresight, knowledge, abilities, and ruthlessness to keep them alive. She was dead-on when she told Rick and change; "You can be a farmer, you can't JUST be a farmer." Interested in seeing Daryl's reaction.

Bob survives another week. Hooray for growth! Tyreese might need to see Rick's therapist... "Shaggy" and "Daphne" survived for this long, only to die within hours of Rick's Travelling Fun Show coming to town. What a cruel, cruel world.

Someone may very well correct me, but my understanding is that it's from the pigs they were raising in the first episode?

It wasn't the pigs. There were some walkers who showed up with no bites and bloody eyes so the flu virus supposedly was all over the place.

It may seem like Carol acted correctly but in the big scheme of things she acted alone and with no medical knowledge. It should have been voted on by the counsel. You can't have someone stabbing everyone in the head that may have allergies. She went all stabby after one person got sick and turned. She assumed that everyone would die after getting sick. Calling Dr. Kavorkian, Dr Carol Kavorkian. Rick probably saved her life because Tyreese would kill her. Plus imagine the controversy if Rick told everyone. It probably would have pulled the group apart.

This group needs Dale's moral compass, BIGTIME. He knew when to adhere to pre walkers society's rules and when to do what needs to be done to survive. Plus, Daryl wouldn't

be the only mechanic. Dammit, Carl!!!

I am not liking seeing Carol go... Carol made a good point in that Rick killed Shane because he was trying to kill him but when she tried to stop the sickness by nipping it in the bud... that is wrong. That is painting with a pretty broad brush IMO. Tough call but sending her away I think was a mistake.

2 kids both get whacked right after meetign rick and Carol???? I like how they were able to stay clear for weeks then in 2 hours get killed, almost too convenient. Something sinister working against them? LIke an antagonist maybe (GOV)???? I doubt it but fun to speculate.
