I've been threatening to go Bog-trotting for awhile, and after seeing Jason's post I figured today would have to be the day. LOTS of variety, and also my first true encounter with a GGO. So much to post, it'll take three posts to fit it all in. Also met a guy from Illinois looking for the same things I was. We teamed on many of the subjects.

First, songbird type variety:

Next, GGO Encounters:

Saw the GGO start to get edgy:

and all of a sudden a hawk owl came screaming through:

After passing by at supersonic speed, he perched nearby:

After a bit he moved to a lower branch:

and made his own capture:

Holy Cow!! What a day in the bog that must have been. After all of the cold weather passed on everybody must have figured its time to come out of hiding and eat. Wonderful series, Ken!!

Talk about a successful bog day. Heck of a variety. If I had to pick a fave, it would be the first flying owl shot. I love the environment that goes along with the owl.

It's getting awful tempting to make the 300 mile journey.
