thatoneguy
I'm generally in the "fire Childress" camp, but I don't think you can in any way hang Sunday's loss on him. WRs made several BAD drops - particularly Harvin's bobble that led to an INT. The defense suffered from AWFUL tackling, especially in the second half, and still struggled to put enough pressure on the QB.I think Chilly Dip - and it pains me to say this - put together the right game plan to beat the Pats, and the Purple just didn't execute well enough. That said, I would still definitely rather see Bill Cowher (yeah right) than Chilly at the helm. zepman
The team needs a coach like Cowher or Gruden right now...someone who can come in and demand respect immediately and kick some arse in the process. Chilly doesn't know how to handle this veteran team and is in the process...if it hasn't already happened...of losing this team.Without a quarterback for next year, there are plenty of better opportunities for any coach looking to get back in the game. Thats exactly the point. COACH THEM!! If they can't catch the ball, put in someone who can. Let em sit and watch. Fine em a game check for playing like Pop Warner players. Do anything, but COACH and don't just sit there with a dumb look on your face. How about challenging a call yesterday that was definately a catch? What the heck was he thinking with that one. Just felt he had too many timeouts to use in the half and wanted to even things up? He is a complete me. The team needs a coach who can motivate, bring discipline and right this ship. Chilly aint it. zepman
From my post above....Chilly HAS lost this team.
Coach1310
Even if it was a good gameplan, someone is failing in preparing them to execute it. You can't cut the whole team so the rebuilding has to start with the coach. I could understand it if he was an experienced coach, with some kind of track record, who has respect around the league. A lot of GM's in the league would argue we might be the most talented team in football.... HOWEVER we sit at 2-5 and make kindergarten mistakes week in and week out.... not to mention he does NOTHING to excite anyone about anything...... JeffB
Yes fire Chilly. I think the whole reason we had such a good season last year is we finally had a leader. That being Favre not Childress. Someone everyone finally looked up to. After having to beg Favre back and his poor performance we've lost that too.
croixflats
Ive been saying fire child for a long time. Ziggy wont fire Child until his pocket book showing a loss. Bringing in a new coach and new system is big bucks why do that as long as he is making money if money is his objective.Stop going to the games will be more effective than a petition. Dark Cloud
I like seeing the Queens flounder... but Chilly is garbage. My little league baseball coach could do what he has... And I dont know why but it bugs the heck out of me when Chilly covers his mouth on the sidelines with the playsheet. They could probably zoom in on the playsheet better that they could read his lips through that horrible mu-stash catipillar on his upper lip. JIvers
I've never been a big fan of Childress, but until today's complete Charlie-Fox (google it) I was not on the "fire Childress" bandwagon. I'm there now.

BRULEDRIFTER
I really, really hope the fans chant 'Fire Childress' during the whole game next week! It may not do any good, but it'll eat at him, at least. God, I hate that man! What a BUM!
harvey lee
I believe that no one on the team has any respect for Chilly. He has his press conference's and seem like he is lifeless.I would bet he is about the same with the players,Even thought we are talking about pro players, they do need to be pumped up and a lifeless Chilly is not the one to do it.Zigy has given Chilly about everything and the team is still 2-5.Laughable. pike doctor
Brian BillickTony DungyMike TomlinWe let all these good cordinators go so we could hang on to a crappy coach and fail miserably in the playoffs while each of these three went on to WIN the superbowl. It is time to fire the bum, and put Frazier in. He will be cheaper than Cowher or Gruden (who i hate). Then we need to rebuild both of our lines, and let the guy develop his own team over a couple years. Peterson, Harvin, Greenway, EJ are gonna have to wait a couple years. Its gonna take that long to clean up the mess than this dink made.
Juneau4
1 year ago no-one wanted to fire the coach, they just thought Peterson was bad, my how times change.
echotrail
This guy couldn't coach a bunch of 1st graders. I tried that once and..... it wasn't easy! The players were more intersted in finding worms in the wet grass. Maybe running the team into the ground and looseing fan support is part of the bigger picture. No new stadium, player problems, a hated coach, no fans = team moves.
harvey lee
I agree that the Vikes will leave soon. Nothing to hold them here and they will not wait like the Twins for a new stadium.

harvey lee
Zigy's fault for letting this happen. Child has no respect from any of the players on the team.
