CJH
With their horrible defense I don't know how you could think the cheese will win the division. It got even worse when harris and bigby were put on the pup list. Rodgers only got sacked 50 times last season, I don't know how you think the line has improved so much!?!? lol!! I can't wait until the season starts so I can hear the cheese backers whine! blah, blah, blah...............
Jim Uran
That's all you can come up with? There is only so much room for logic in this thread..
james_walleye
The packers were the trendy pick heading into the playoffs last year to. That went well for them. I agree, that defense is not good. I laugh when half the "experts" are picking the packers because of their great offense. I really like Teddy Bruschi. He is picking the packers in the north because he thinks Brett Favre is going to get hurt. Really? Thats what your basing your prediction on? We heard that last year as well. Aaron Rodgers has more of an injury history than Brett Favre does.
CJH
That's all you can come up with? There is only so much room for logic in this thread.. There was nothing logical about your quote, just nonsensical noise. Considering the Vikes were ranked lower in both run and pass defense, guess you are saying the Vikes D is horrible. Jim Uran
There is only so much room for logic in this thread...... meaning someone like me has to be a troll and stir up controversy. The Pack's D has as much holes as a block of swiss and you know it!!!

SkunkedAgain
Leechbait,Troll all you want, but both teams are relatively similar with great offenses and good defenses. To answer a few of your "questions":With their horrible defense I don't know how you could think the cheese will win the division. It got even worse when harris and bigby were put on the pup list. mrklean
+1 stick to your queen thread leech its gonna be a fun year i can already tell. I really think out of these 2 teams the healthiest team at the end of the year is gonna win the divsion
FISHINGURU
Forsure, it's all about health and your schedule when your key players are hurt. People say the Vikes are done if Favre goes down but do you really think the Packers would do well without Rodgers?Packers look decent and are the favorites every year, the NFL loves them. fishersofmen
That is for sure. Just about every national sports analist is picking the Pack to not only win the division but go to the Super Bowl as well. Time will tell I guess, unfortunately they already have 2 losses.... Steve Foss
Just about every national sports analist is picking the Pack to not only win the division but go to the Super Bowl as well. Hmmm, Crystal balls from analysts. It only takes a few key games to shatter their balls. I want my Pack to win it all. Each year, every year. Good thing I'm not getting paid the big bucks to talk big on national TV. I like my balls better than that!
BrianLucky13
The day is here!!!! Gonna be a great season for the Packers!!!!
PurpleFloyd
Preseason is done and its time to get ready for the opener against da Eagles. Hopefully we can get a better start to the season than last year. Lots of high hopes for the Pack this year - myself included. In my book they are the favorite to win the division - especially with some key issues to address going on in MN right now. Gonna be interesting to see just how far we can go this year but it should be a great year overall. Time for a shiny new green and gold avatar! Football rocks, can't wait! Your team looks pretty good this year. the secondary and OL are suspect IMO but they certainly have as good a shot as anyone in the league this year as much as I hate to say it lol. This should be a fun season to watch. Good luck (But not too much )
BrianLucky13
Forgot to add that Aaron Rodgers will be the 2010 MVP!!!! What a class act. How can you not cheer for the guy!!!!
james_walleye
Looks like early on in this game that OL still has issues....
Steve Foss
I was out in the boat guiding all day. Sure wish I could have seen that game. Must have been interesting watching my Pack come out on top in spite of two A.R. interceptions. Did any of those picks result in Eagles scores? fishersofmen
Just be thankful Vick didn't play the whole game because they could not stop his running game. (11car. 103yds.) Andy Reid better take a good look at the film and realize who his starting QB should be. Man that guy is dangerous.
SneakAttack
Vick is and has always been a terrible passer but a great runner and the Pack obviously did not game plan on Vick playing an extended amount of time in the game but a great ugly road win for the Pack!Note to fishers, Vick has been a dangerous QB for about 10 years now...
fishersofmen
Note to SneakAttack, more like 5. And whats your point?
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted September 13, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted September 13, 2010 Rogers was hanging on to the ball too long at times as well. Only a matter of time before he's done for the season after being crushed back there.
CJH
Vick is the last person you want to play in the first game of the season, as nobody is in game shape yet.It didn't hurt that he played about 2.5 quarters, so he didn't hit the wall like everybody else. That being said, he looked exhausted by the end of the game. He almost didn't get up after a Mathews hit.Regardless the Pack found a way to win, and that's what good teams do when you aren't playing great. Rogers was holding onto the ball too long. Did a much better job in the second half, and the OL played better as well. Philly still has a good defense with their zone blitz scheme, which is tough for any team to open against. RiverFish
One win closer to the playoffs!Go Pack.Sounds like Grant might have a serious ankle injury. Could be an issue.

snoozebutton
Not only is Justin Harrel out for the season, Ryan Grant just got placed on IR and is done for 2010. Looks like Dmitri Nance (signed off the Falcons practice squad) is the newest Green Bay packer. Quote: ASU: Tough inside runner who led the Sun Devils in rushing each of his last two seasons...straight-ahead, compact rusher who rarely is tackled for loss and is ideal for short-yardage and goal-line situations...played in 45 games during his ASU career, making 18 starts over his four-year career...totaled 1,934 rushing yards on 482 carries (4.0 avg.) and 19 touchdowns...became a bigger factor in the passing game over the course of his career, as he finished with 63 career receptions for 463 yards (7.3 avg.) and one touchdown.
