It looks to me like it could be a raccoon that has had its tail severed/cut off.

I have never seen a bobcat walk with a hunched back like that, or a bobcat that has such a wide berth.

I am by no means a bobcat expert, but I have gotten a fair number of trail cam vids and pics of bobcats (and of raccoons) and I've never seen a bobcat that looks quite like the critter in this picture. On the other hand, absent a long two color ringed tail, this critter is a dead ringer for a raccoon based on the body style.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Looks exactly like a tailess coon.

the top pic. is definately a bobcat. In the other pics. it looks like it could be that same cat marking territory. Is there any bait or food where your camera is set up?Is there other critter sign in this area?It could be a community marking spot for differant critters which would explain the posturing up.

its totally a racoon without a tail

the face is much more of a raccoon face than that of a bobcat. In addition I cannot see much evidence of large pointed bobcat ears

it's also too stocky for a bobcat IMO, and its body positions are very raccoon-like

the ONLY thing bobcat-like is the short tail. ignoring that its 100% coon

I've never seen a raccoon or bobcat that could shoot fire from it's eyes. Did you all miss that?!? The only thing that I've seen shoot fire from its eyes was Superman along with General Zod and his cronies in Superman II. So it's likely a interstellar beast from the planet Krypton.

If not, then my vote is for a tail-less raccoon.
