The best thing the Vikings could do is...

In that case, we should trade away Longwell because he missed a couple of field goals, trade Leber because he missed about a dozen interceptions, and while we are at it, let's trade Harvin because of the migraines.

No it will balance our team. How far did we get with 2 running backs and no passing before. We need a quarterback. It wouldn't bother me a bit to see Chester start at RB. The only problems with trading AP is we need to sign Chester first, he is a free agent.

I also thought this tonight but who do we go get?

All teams realize that you need a good quarterback to get someplace and even an outstanding running back (with a fumbling problem) doesn't make up the differnce.

The Panthers wouldn't trade Moore for him right now...and I'm a huge AP guy. It's a q-back's league and no way any team in their right mind gives us anything close to a #1 q-back for him. It was really disturbing to watch him tonight...there is no excuse!!

Peterson should carry the ball everywhere he goes for the next year and agree to give anyone who knocks the ball out of his hands $50. It would be interesting to see if he went broke or learned not to fumble.

Nothing. A certain amount of luck is needed to win in the NFL. We were a few unlucky calls and non-calls from winning one more game in the regular season and secureing homefeild advantage.

IMO the Saints are one of the, if not, the luckiest team and I dont mean that as a bitter "homer". There is no way in he11 that a team can turn the ball over 5 times and lose by a feild goal without luck playing some role. The Vikes won in most categories.

The best thing they could do is get a good O-lineman another solid DT, a shutdown corner and if we're lucky a QB of the future.

Adrian Peterson is a great RB he tries so hard to help his team win. I remember Tiki Barber having issue's then the Giants moved the position of where he carries the ball. AP needs a coach to adjust how he runs with the ball and not just have him carry it around and sleep with it for 2 days staight.

Sadly I don't think there is anything that AP can do to fix the issue. If we want his playmaking ability, you have to deal with the fumbles. It's a problem that is somewhat forgivable in the regular season, but last night shows how it can affect you in the playoffs. I hate to put the blame on him, but those turnovers were infectious.

I had the same thought about trading him, but his fumbles are not a secret and we wouldn't get a good enough QB in exchange. Unless #4 comes back next year (and I doubt it), I think we may be in for a long season.

Guys on NFL network said yesterday AM that this years draft class has the highest QB draft class since 1983 (Marino, Kelly, Elway). Trade AP for 3 first rounders, sign chester (well rested) & use kid from Iowa--strong runner holds ball tight. Draft top flight QB & Guard or Tackle, & cornerback. If Brett comes back great, if not go with Rosenfels with newbie as the backup. Tavaris should be dealt regardless, (hat on backwards with bad attitude early in year and only had good behavior later this year cause we were winning and it would make him look bad. Good time to trade him too, has learned so much behind Farve. Either way, this team does'nt go anywhere without Brett!!

One thing I don't understand about the vikes offense this year is why they stretch the handoffs out with the QB towards the ends. Can't we pitch it out more and get AP to the hole quicker? Brett also wouldn't need to be as mobile either. Just a thought.

Or do the backs excluding Chester have that poor of hands.
