Packers -Steelers

By far, the most exciting game of the year for the Pack.....By far! Too many cb injuries caught up to us for sure. Penalties also. Big Ben played out of his head today. Game could have gone either way. Great football game though. Bummer of an outcome but that's how it goes. Just needed to finish.

"There's two teams here that want to win. When that happens, only one team can win."

That reminds me a lot of Denny Green. Or any of a number of brain-dead, bombastic TV football commentators, all of whom try for profundity with double-digit IQs (except for Howie Long, who appears to be able to string two thoughts in a row together) and sound like slightly different versions of Denny Green. When a TV football commentator makes you feel like you are grinding aluminum foil in your molars, it's time for him to retire and become a coach. Oh, wait, odds are he WAS a coach and then retired to become a TV football commentator. shockedshocked

As for the game being exciting, it sure was. Like going to the hospital with a possible heart attack and finding out it really IS a heart attack. No middle-aged Packers fan needs THAT jackpot. frown

Worst part, aside from the loss, is that the Steelers have been my fave AFC team since the early 70s, which was before quite a few of you tender children who post on this board were even born.

There, I feel better now. Not much, but a little. And ain't that what these HSO forums are all about? World ain't full of Vikings fans, you know. gringrin

The Pack should have won the game....I want them to face the purple again in the playoffs......night....night

OOOOF! If that's not a troll I don't know what is! Uh, wait a minute. This IS a Packers thread, after all, so maybe it's not a troll at all. gringringrin

I want us to play the Vikes again, too. Even if they beat us for the third time this year, it'll give them some drunken consolation when they lose in the NFC championship game or the Super Bowl. People who have never won the big game have a nearly genetic need to rip on those who have. Who am I to deny their desire? winkwinkwink

But yikes, what if the Pack actually WON THAT GAME? shockedshockedshocked

You must not have watched either Vikes/Packers game.

3 times in a row... 3 times in a row..

Queens did sure roll tide tonight, huh?

The only consolation at my house last night (after the Vikings fans jumped up and down like school kids at the Packer loss), was seeing their jubilation turn to anger as Julius Peppers repeatedly man-hugged Favre. I sat in the corner of the room without saying a word, which made them even more irate.

Tough losses for both the Packers and Vikings. Hopefully they both still have some fight in them.
