hugonian1
Boy, that one must of really hurt. Rodgers had a Tavaris like game again and is having a Tavaris like season. He always has that deer in the headlights look going. Dallas is next. Can't imagine the Pack is too excited about that.
pegleg
At least the Packers enjoyed an outstanding Preseason. I would bet their Special Teams coach is gone at the end of the season after Percy Harvin burned them and now Tampa.
gundy89
I'm sure it will be the "we have the youngest team in the NFL" excuse again.

we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 9, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 9, 2009 At the end of the day I do have to admit Packer fans are some of the best. I admire how they support their team. A select few so called Vikes fans would be ripping on their team and calling their players derogatory names if they were in the same place as the Packers. Oh wait some of those poor excuses for Vikes fans are already calling Vikings players derogatory names....
Cooter
An arse kicking from the worst team in the league, ouch. Oh well, the way I look at it we weren't gonna do anything special this year anyways and this should motivate some change in the Packer org. Mike and Ted should be afraid, they stuck their necks out bigtime with Favre and now the axe is probably getting sharpened. That carp doesn't fly in GB for long. Jim Uran
They need to build up that line, and Rodgers needs to know when to get rid of the ball. Poor dude is running for his life out there.
splakeshaker
Yep. The pack are just playing poorly and don't have the leadership or discipline they need on the field. It doesn't seem like their is a leader on the team. The coaches don't hold players accountable for their actions. Remember, when Mike Singeltary kicked Vernon Davis off the field mid game last year for acting like a brat for the 49'ers? Embarrassed the heck out of him in front of the millions watching. Vernon Davis will probably be in the pro bowl this year now. McCarthty should have done the same thing with Jolly last week for his tantrum and headbutt that cost us 7 pts. Changes need to come and I hope it starts with TT and McCarthy.

james_walleye
RiverRat you have absolutely nothing to brag about. The Vikes haven't done squat in the post season. Where would you be with Jackson or Sage?? Just take a little time and think about it. I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikes [PoorWordUsage] the Divison away, I really wouldn't. Can you give a single reason to think the vikes will throw the division away? You can say that all you want, throwing away the division, but inside your really scared to death that your old glory boy is now going to lead the enemy to the promised land. Seeing a post like this from a packer fan isnt surprising. The "glamor" pick to represent the NFC in the superbowl. Now its pretty clear the team isnt even going to make the playoffs. Pretty sure the vikings are going to at least have a chance in January. They might not get there, but we are going to be able to enjoy the ride at least. Im really puzzled at the take on where the vikings would be with Sage or Jackson? Could it be your torked that your organization won't go out and sign anyone of note in the offseason? The vikes saw a need and went and grabbed Favre and filled that need. I know as a packer fan your not used to seeing an organiztion do that. Along that line, nice job by the packer organization of filling their needs at offensive line. Did they miss the memo that without an O-line the offensive is nothing?? That's why I'm torked and yes, they missed the memo. Mark Murphy went on record today in the Green Bay Press Gazette and from what it sounds like, if they don't turn the season around, changes will be made. My God, I hope so!! zamboni
Matty Birk (best center in the NFL) left and we aren't having same problems. Rodgers holds onto the ball WAY too long, some of the blame goes on him, too.
MuleShack
Matty Birk (best center in the NFL) left and we aren't having same problems. Rodgers holds onto the ball WAY too long, some of the blame goes on him, too. I agree that rogers does sit back in the "collapsing" pocket way too long. Granted he's trying to make things happen and sometimes they do and other times they do for the other team.I dont agree with your statement 100% about the center situation. Granted we are not taking sacks, but how many times has AP ran up the middle and got stacked up for no gain. I dont think he has the capability to move people like Birk did. pegleg
Birk wasn't All Pro his first year on the job either. Sullivan will work his way into the position just like Birk did and the other centers before Birk. We will be fine on the offensive line as long as nobody gets hurt over the next 8 weeks. splakeshaker
Rogers certainly holds on to the ball to long. I don't understand why he does that after he's out of the pocket. I know he's looking to make a play down field but why wouldn't he throw the ball away instead of taking all the sacks? I would hold Rodgers accountable for about 50% of the sacks we've taken. I don't think he sees the field or reads defenses well enough to make the quick decisions. That's where Farve shines. He is a master of the game. He knows the game better than almost any other QB playing today (Peyton and Brady are right with him). Farve just isn't 28 years old anymore. His wisdom and vision is finally better than his physical talent. He is a great leader of man and the Vikings rise up for him. Vikes receivers didn't do for Jackson what they do for Favre and vice versa. The Pack did the same thing for Farve. Farve makes his teammates better. Rodgers is a very accurate passer but needs to get an idea of how much these sack (in totality) are hurting the success of this years team. Rodgers lacks leadership skills which is a reflection of the GM and head coach. They lack leadership as well. I like Rodgers, I think he just needs more experience and develop leadership skills. Goes to show that all of Rodgers pretty numbers and stats don't add up in the win column. Sacks and Penalties are why we are 4-4 this year. That falls on the head coach. It's the same thing every week. If GB continues this type of play we will end up 6-10 this year. We have some tough teams left to play and GB just hit the panic button. 6-10, in my opinion, would be ok if the end result is a new GM and head coach. Driftless
The NFL record for sacks in a game is 12 and has been done 5 times:1) Dallas vs. Pittsburgh, Nov. 20, 19662) St. Louis vs. Baltimore, Oct. 26, 19803) Chicago vs. Detroit, Dec. 16, 19844) Dallas vs. Houston, Sept. 29, 19855) NY Giants vs. Philadelphia, Sept. 29, 2007
Mudcutter
I think it was the Bears that got an old Archie Manning on his back 11 times agst the Vikes in the mid 80's.Man, I feel old after actually remembering that.
Steve Foss
All you Packer fans always talk about your Superbowl wins and how great your team is. Your team is absolutely disgusting to watch. Your offensive line is terrible. Your Quarterback is terrible. Your Defense is absolute garbage. Your team is absolutely terrible at all the fundamentals of football. You Packer Fans gloat more than fans of any other team. This season your team is garbage and you have to deal with it. It must really sting watching Brett Favre lead the Vikings to the Division Title. Wow. It must have felt good to get that off your chest, RRR. I gotta mine these threads a little more thoroughly before I chime in next time. So much fun catching a glimpse of the gold ore of posts like this amid all the waste rock. mnwild
you never heard this much talk out of Vikes fans, and why because of Brett Favre. I bet if either Sage or that other guy (I would love to say what I want to) was at QB you wouldn't hear as much as you hear right now. Let them say what they want because its only going to last the rest of this year and MAYBE (if he doesnt waffle retirement)next year and they will be back to square one... Sorta like what we had to put up with for the last decade+. Its amazing what a good qb does for a team, eh. As for GB they're gonna be back to square one before the seasons up if they dont start protecting Rodgers better.
