Thanks guys...Krista enjoys reading these posts. We try to be pretty selective in the bucks we take on this property, and yes, at one point I was convinced that passing was the right thing to do. This was one of those deer that got bigger after he hit the ground, and once we got our hands on him we felt pretty silly for ever considering not shooting him. Finally got my deer down. Nothing big by any means, but it was the first thing to walk by and we needed CAMP MEAT! So i figured i might as well lay the smack down on him. 20yds broadside right at dark. Made a beautiful shot and he went maybe 40yds? The slick trick did some REAAAL damage! Gettin back up to the shack this weekend!! Good luck fellas.

walleye great buck. there are some big bodied bucks up there i hunt between finland and isabella. got a 210 pound 10 pointer last year.

Shot my first buck ever last friday while bow hunting in southern Minnesota. It walked in about 30 minutes before shooting hours ended. It is a nine pointer that has split G2s. The right browtine never was formed or else it would have been a 10.

8 pointer with a 25 inch spread shot half hour into the season! It was the second deer I shot this morning. The other was a nice eight but this deer puts it to shame
