Ye Olde Schoolhouse in Edwards southeast of Pelican Rapids. Great burgers and he smokes his own ribs and beef brisket. Good food at a good price. I may be biased. Good luck little brother.

I would vote "The Northwoods Cafe" in Alexandria, MN.

They are only open from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM but food and the service is AWSOME!!!

Magnolia's is great! I also like their hot beef or hot turkey sandwiches.

Another eastside treat for me is Yarusso Bros. Italian. Meatballs are to die for.

In St.Paul Cosetta's on West 7th for sandwiches or pasta. Dixies on grand for the Blackened Turkey Burger with Blue Cheese.

During the Duck season the Melby outpost in Melby, Minnesota for the atmosphere and the broasted chicken.

Phils Tara Hideaway off 36 & Osgood in Stillwater for steak and greek. Excellent steaks, and nice log cabin atmosphere.

Also Lake Elmo inn, spendy, but nice dim candelite small town feel.

Whistling Bird in Gilbert for steaks. Sakura (is this a chain??) in St. Paul for sushi. Gordy's in Cloquet for Burgers, etc.

I'm a little bias because I live so close but Jack and Jims as well, unbelievable food! Also, it's not open anymoe but that little restraunt on 47 just before isle had huge portions for small price. I miss that place

Never been to Manny's but the Black and Bleu from the WB is unbeatable.

Casseta's in st paul is awesome for pizza and pasta.

I have never seen a restaurant treat a group of 50 9th graders with such respect.

Man I cant believe i just read this whole list and didn't see Blackwoods on there once! They have several of my all time favorites! Plus I've never had a bad time at the bar.

Savoy's pizza in St Paul. There is more than one so it might technically ne a chain but they are all local. The sausage pizza is the bomb
