/start rant

Sheesh did you roll those fish around on the ground before snapping a shot? I don't always do a good job myself, but if you are releasing those fish its best to try and leave their protective slime coating as untouched as possible. If you are keeping fish, at least give them some dignity and give them a dunk in the water before snapping a pic.

Hey goofball

Quote:
Its just good to discuss this stuff... I think people know what milfoil and zebra mussels are, but do we really know the true effects they can have -- both positive and negative? I know of the potential positive effects, and I have 'heard' of the potential negative effects. I wanted to see if anyone out there has an example of a specific lake where the ecosystem has been destroyed from either of these invasive species. I don't know of any personally. A lot of the negatives you hear out there seems to be speculation.

Did you ever see a Muskie eat a fish? How about a Shark tear apart a fish? Maybe even shot a deer once? Not much dignity in any of that if you are the one dying, and that would be assuming they even have that. Seems like from some of your posts, you want stir the pot.

He caught some nice fish and let them go, I bet the dirt went away.

Give me break!

They were one day short however, yesterday may have been one of my best mornings ever.. I was alone though.. so no one to verify.. LOL.. 52 bass in 3 hours. In a one hour period I had 3 casts in a row that I didnt catch a fish on.. at one point I got 17 fish on 17 casts though.. most fish were 2.5-3.5lbs... however my top 5 would have weight 19.6lbs... very fun morning to say the least.

17 fish on 17 casts? I spent 22 hours this past weekend catching 6 12"ers. I guess all the more motivation.

Congrats to you bro and the little guy. Your brother reminds me of captain keith from deadliest catch....

That's not your best streak though is it? I thought your best streak was 19 consecutive, or maybe it was 15. I remember you telling me about it and being astonished. Sounds like you had some fun on the water no doubt about it though.

Say, we have to line up a chase boat next time out. I conversed with the BassCat corporate photographer today on another forum. He gave me some tips for the next time. smile

Actually, my best before was 17 on 17, but it was on a rattle trap in the fall.. and those fish were not the same average size.. This was far more impressive as I said, the most I sent for like an hour and half was 3 cast without a fish,.. it was crazy.

Tom, sounds like a hoot!!!!! Lets get er done.. know anybody who can keep up to the cat? Chase boat has to keep up right? 8-)
