My guess is she is maxing out at 1 lb 6 oz to 1 lb 10 oz would be the weight for that big bluegill. Big female, loaded with spawn, so her weight is maxed right just like if you catch a big female northern or walleye this time of year, these fish are going to be fat and weigh heavier now than in June/July. But VERY nice fish man...possibly once in a lifetime fish right there, I do too hope its going on the wall, but its not the first time I've heard of a guy putting a knife to a gill of that size to eat.

Yes its a wall fish, no way would I cut up a fish like this. I had a 13" perch from LOW that I was debating on mounting, so when I caught this bull I knew right away what I was going to do with her. Thanks for the compliments, I never did weigh the fish sorry.

That was a fun 2 days....since you were up there have been more caught...

The boat is over 1000 so far for the season.Thurs.& Fri we averaged a fish every 2 minutes.
