Jonathon is a bit of a spaz, but I do like the attitude of that boat better than Keith's Wizard.

Keith runs his boat with far too much stress. He would be better off handing off some of the operating responsibilities to his brother and focus on finding crab and driving his rig.

Ok maybe I missed it some how?? But when they did the Jake exchange they were told to go pack there stuff right?? But when they were put in the water I seen no bags or anything?? Mabe they shoved it all in the suit but I dont think they could of got it all in there??

another good show last night.

Phil got hot on jake last night! Was funny. Northwestern is going for blue crab and there way out of radar, and not having good luck, wonder how long there going to fight that out.

Andy and the gang got there limit, but now there fighting the storm to get back, and when the show stopped last night, the wave that they were going to hit didnt look good.

Should be a good show next week

Sig must have a big pair of stones to be WAY out there on his own. I would have paired up with another vessel to be on the safe side. I hope they get a return on their investment there.

Also the dialouge between Sig and Edgar was kinda interesting. It pretty much looks like Edgar is checking out. Doesn't appear to be a lot of interest in taking the captain chair, even though I think they would make a great pair like the Hillstrands. I can't blame him for missing his family though, and he has been doing it for 22 years.

i watched deadliest instead of LOST last night and i was pretty happy with the show last night. My guess is the time bandit is fine they always show that type of stuff to get you to tune in next week. I was suprised how far they have to go for the blues way up there.

Another week with no Wizard. Interesting.

I also noticed when Discovery shows a boat on the waves going in to commercial, it is now the Time Bandit where it used to be the Wizard.

Not a big loss in my opinion.

Well the Wiz had a good season and is all packed up. A little less drama on that ship is just what was needed.

They have spent alot more time on the Northwestern and the Corenelia Marie this year as they continue to be the more interesting vessels. Captain Phil vs Boys and Sig vs Edgar.

What is every boats take as far as money for doing this show, does anyone know? Who gets what? Looks like the Time Bandit may be making out like bandits with the commercials. If the crew on the boat doesnt make viewing interesting are they then gone? Great show!

finally got to watch it last night!! Can't believe the Northwestern is that far out. If they have trouble, they are done!!! Every time phil looses it, I get nervous knowing what is coming!!!

Really sad watching Phil tell the boys last night he'd be around and wasn't going anywhere.

Not sure if I was more surprised by Sig pulling the plug on the Blues or by Mouse actually getting on the Bairdi's.

Did I miss something??? Who was Phil yelling at? I thought it was going to be on last night show?

Phil was yelling at Jake because he was slacking off doing nothing but walking around when the rest of the guys were cleaning off the deck. During this Phil said Jake better not be the first to go in off the deck and he was. That was on last weeks show.

Was it just me or did it seem some of the crew members made a little less money than other years? It still was darn good pay for a couple weeks work, but I thought other years they made more.

I think part of it is that the quotas are less than they used to be. Years ago the entire fleet might have been able to claim 10 million pounds but now it is a bit less than that, so that is why you see the totals down. Also, it is interesting to see how much more efficient certain boats are. The NWestern hauls in 50K a piece, but other boats, like the Wizard, who have a higher quota of crab still make less money per deckhand... The show won't be the same without Capt. Phil, but the stuff these guys put their bodies through is pretty unbelievable.

The Northwestern does more work with less people, thus more of the pie to go around. Its pretty obvious too who works the hardest, guys on the other boats goof off walking around and fighting. Sigs boat everyone is always dead tired looking like zombies....phils kid couldnt get off there fast enough. And look at the wizard always bringing in new guys, the northwestern has had one new guy and he was related to the salmon boat captain deckhand.

I think you have to be stronger mentally to be on the northwestern but make a lot more. Personally if I could pick I'd be on the time bandit, those guys kill me.

i was able to catch the episoe last night, man that reunion show this year is gonna be interesting, phil passing, the time bandit and wizard fued, sig and edger going at each other should be a good opie season

Pretty good show again. Edgar doesn't look too happy. The ice that Cap'n Phil had in the morning looked to be BRUTAL! I wonder how long it took them just to free the top section of pots?

Anyway when most of the captains are dropping unbaited pots to the seafloor, you know it's bad.

they are really pushing to the fact that sign and edgar hate each other or really dont like each other anymore kinda making me mad, the ice on phils boat holy cow, thats just sick. Im just waiting for the big moment must a week or two away

can you watch old episodes online?

I've tried finding it online, but all I found was 2 minute clips on Discovery.com that give the highlights of episodes.

Anyone know where you can find full episodes? Tuesday's are baseball nights around our house, so don't get to see them live.

      got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out

      Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!

      we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
