Lake Marion, this afternoon

Im guess it was about 5-6lbs or so

I had to stretch my arm way out and have the camera almost behind me to make it fit! Hard to do in a kayak!

No lie, about 1 foot. To the right of the boat launch, to the left of the main fishing dock.

Also nabbed a huge bass on the same lure. Went back out on Thursday for an hour and caught some small bass.

Its a good lake.

My Boy caught this Nice Pike in 30 ft of Water on a 100 degree Day this past summer. Didnt take the time to measure Since it was so hot out and didnt want to put the extra stress on her. The Pic was bad enough on her probably

Hooked a crappie and this gal wanted it. I won. Had to get the crappie out of her because the crappies have to be 11 inches before you can keep them on this lake. It was 11.25 inches.

Little open water casting with a gold little cleo

Kaiden Olson and Joe Chadwick of Soliders Grove were fishing on the Mississippi River today with tip ups. They both scored a nice pike. Kaiden is six years old and son of Sarah Olson of Soliders Grove, WI.

I was standing talking to my brother a few yards from a tip up, when I happen to look down and see a pike cruise between us. At first I couldn't believe my eyes, but when it passed under us again; I decided to pop my lens cap off and start shooting. It hung out by us for about 5 minutes. At one point, we could see it watching our shiner.

Ice is 13 inches thick in this spot.
