Hmmm... my memory may be failing me, but I don't know that I have ever seen a spot like that on Calhoun in Mpls, with the lily pads and that clarity of water. Unless it was in the far SE corner maybe

Great fish! I know there's a few large ones swimming around there, just rare to catch one.

Wrong side of the lake wink

I had two this same size follow a huge black bucktail I use about two weeks prior. The one that actually stuck the lure was the same size from what I could tell, it hit the bucktail about 10' from the boat. I didnt hook him obviously but you could see he was a big boy. For a split second I thought it was a Tiger, then I saw the spots as he coiled to the opposite direction.

That lake doesnt get much pressure from what I can see. Its almost always sailboaters and kayakers with a few people tossing some lures.
