echotrail
You have a pretty good list. I put most of these items into two 23 gallon tupperware type storage tubs and marked one "Camping" and the other "kitchen". During the trip make a note of what your low on or ran out of and replace those items when you get home. You won't have to re-pak everything each trip. Powerstroke
We also use the tupperware containers when car camping. Its pretty nice to leave it packed up for next time. It also encourages those spontanious trips you night of taken because of the hassle.
big musk411
Thanks for the imput. I two am a fan of the rubermaid containers. We are going via canoe[odviously not portaging] this time, so it will be one rubbermaid and two duluth pacs. I now have the list saved in an excel spreadsheet for the next time as well. IndyEFI500
A new one that I found is baby wipes. The ones with alcohol have a dual purpose. They cut grease a little better and when wiped on your face in hot weather, the evaporating alcohol gives a cooling effect.

rushing
Quote: If you're packing your gear in, then you forgot the most important piece: Self control. When I used to camp alot I just had one large rubbermaid tub and I would fit all the camping essentials I needed in there including a 4 man tent. The stuff would never leave the tub unless while out camping so I knew I had everything everytime I went out.
