as for size, im not too sure about it. was just out on the lake throwing the spinnerbait and didnt bring anything else with me. if i had to guess..maybe in the 40ish inches.

yeah i had 17lbs test on, so i think that def helped with the line not breaking.

Hey Tonka can i ask where bouts did u catch that 58inch giant on Vermilion?? Seems like Vermilion is producing some pigs this year. While bass fishing i saw many sunners, that were 50+ and had several fallows that were pigs!

biggest question is how much did you bleed trying to get your spinnerbait out of her mouth?

none actually, the hook is perfectly set on the upper lip(you can kinda see the hook in the picture)woulda had to run back to my car if it was any deeper tho, those teeths were scary!...lol

Nice fish Gekhang. I really want to get a tiger musky some day.

Not to rag on you or anything but please try to keep your release tools close when fishing musky lakes. They can be very fragile especially when the weather is really warm. The less time we spend playing, landing and releasing them the better chance they have. Thanks.

If you can gill-plate a 40'' esox without losing blood, you'd be surprised how far you can stick a couple fingers into the fish's mouth to retrieve a lure. That said, many bass fishermen carry needle nose pliers in their pocket while shore fishing. I know I do.
