Prayers Please

My thoughts and prayers to the brave soldiers who lost their lives and their family's. Having spent 20 years in the USAF standing that line there is not a day that goes but that I don't say a prayer for all the troops that are over there. Until you have been there you can not fathom the sacrafices that are made by military members every day of their lives. Honor thier memories!

This news hits me every time I hear it! I have friends over there and some who have made it back safely. Watching the wifes and kids at home watching the news all the time is ruff! Sorry to hear about your loss and Jesse and the others still over there are in our prayers.

My prayers go out to your cousin and your family and all the soldiers of our country. I am overwhelmed almost daily by the stories of courage and honor. And I am humbled by the men and women who sacrifice so much for all of us. God Bless our soldiers.

Sorry for your loss. I work with a guy that is a Sergeant of that unit. It was very sad when his wife called us about what happened. She said that he had just spoken with one guys about an hour before it happened. He unfortunately had prepared himself before he left for Bahgdad that he probably wouldn't becoming home with all the guys. Very sad to think that.

Trapman, you loss is definately hearfelt! Your family will surely be in my thoughts and prayers. Everyone should take a minute to reflect on the opportunities our military men and women are giving to us to do the things we most enjoy. I also would like to give cudos to the FM folks here for showing their support,it really goes to show the high integrity and respect most sportsman (on and off this site) have for their fellow man.

I recently signed up to an adopt a soldier program through operation air conditioner. What a great program! It was started by sending air conditioners during the summer and heaters in the winter, yes it gets very cold in the desert in the winter. Now they have the adopt a soldier program. I took donations at work to get my adopted soldier, who is in the infantry, a new pair of boots, new uniforms and sent some food goodies that they can't get over in Iraq. He asked me to send him some Swedish fish because he couldn't find them there and he loved them. That was a tough one to figure out. Its fish shaped candy like gummy bears. The simple things we take for granted like toilet paper, home made cookies and even fish shaped candy bring a smile and a memory of home to a soldier. I have the highest respect for all the soldiers serving and pray for there return.

I would like to join with the others here in wishing you and your family well in this time. I placed a ribbon on this reply for your cousin, as he's surely earned it and much much more! He has the whole nation's respect and gratitude as do all the fighting men and women who sacrifice so much for us.

Take care and God Bless!
