I know we have HULU, Netflix, HBO Max, Prime and a few others but no live TV. I guess it comes down to the fact that I just don't care to watch professional sports that much anymore. I'd rather be out in the woods, on the lake, biking on trails, taking pictures etc....

I agree, the Vikings ended up 8-9. Could have easily been 13-4 and it felt like they were 2-15 lol

For it to be a successful season for me the Vikings only need to win one more game and that would be the second packer game!

I too prefer to spend my time outside and don’t watch much for sports but my wife is the Vikes fan so that’s the connection for me.  We watch some games later on HULU but there is the live TV option too.  She usually watches them live when I’m not around.

It just seems like the last Qtr of every game.  You feel like they could still lose in the last minute, even when their ahead by 10!  😳

I guess it is a good thing I don't watch them then!  🤔 Beautiful day to be outside walking through the woods, no need to be indoors watching football!

I'll have to stay for that reason I watch more of the games during the season as highlights on Youtube when I get home!  👍

I was pretty tired from being outside all weekend and was glad to just sit and watch the game, drink a couple beers, and eat junk food after unpacking.

they have only beaten one team with a winning record. Will see how they look against Buffalo and Dallas in a couple weeks. They still have a pretty easy schedule after those 2 games though.

 

Will be interesting to see if they make any trades but don't think they have cap room for any blockbuster stuff.

 

Icing on the cake is watching the packers implode and Rodgers hitting the dirt a few times a game makes it even better.

The secret is I turn the game off when ever they start sucking really bad, and when I watch the Highlights after the game, they have won every time!   So am guna keep doing that!  😆

Oh, my I thought the pack had lost yesterday when I looked at the standings after the Vikings had won and saw they had lost 5 games in a row.

Today I find out they won in overtime.  Oh well!

My wife was sure the Pack lost also.

 

I was out hunting Sunday so I didnt see the Vikes game until last night.  Well the 4th quarter and OT anyway. Even after hearing all the details, it was still something to see.

      As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…

      I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...

      Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?

      I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.

      Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.

      The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there.  About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.

      It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway.  Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work.  You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water.  When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.

      We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there,but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
