Birds Everywhere!!!!

i havent seen a robin yet or any cranes. see swans, geese and ducks cause the sauk river is close. have a few birds at the feeders. still got 2 ft of snow in most my yard!!!!!!!!!

 

and its still making ice!!!!!!

A little early for these 2 to be chasing hens. There strutting for a big group of em' that are 50 yards away.

seen the first morning dove of the year!!!!!!!! no robins though!!!11

pheasants every where this morning looking for food and grit...   even seen a couple grouse!!!

I did see 3 robins. On my way to see mom , they where in areas with no snow along the street.

Mallards are coming in pretty strong now.  1st hooded merg sighting was yesterday.  More today.  First goldeneyes today.

 

Neighbor sent me a video of a Tom getting it on with a lady friend.

 

The only thing that don’t know it’s spring around here is the snow!

 

Edit* the inventory of waterfowl sighted will change by the day or hour now.  A raft of ringers just dumped in.  
 

All the drakes of all species are working it as hard as the turkey.

the numbers of birds is increasing in leaps and bounds the last few days!!!!   the variety is great!!!!

Spring ain't here till we hear loons! Lotz of juncos even heard a cardinal the other day . Seen a male yellow finch starting to get his color back

Probably a Turkey roosting on top of the neighbors spruce. Wanderer's been shoot, shooting at the wrong birds all these years!
