JP Z
One trick is to tell 'em stories that don't go anywhere, like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now, where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones. Like how dare I interrupt the little social club they got going. while true we are very welcoming. We are the coffee club and the Health and Energy forum is the 22 year olds at the bar getting in fights. Those coffee clubs are great in small towns here and there. The little convenience store by our cabin in a town of about 21 people had one. Ten or so guys filling the place and after a while they thought they owned it. They'd spend 50 cents a day and get their mail at the same time. Drove the gal nuts. For her it was like having ten people watching her work for 2 hours. We should start shaking dice! LindellProStaf
Ok this is relation to the squirrel eating the bird. I don't want to be off topic in the Off Topic thread. My old neighbor in Stillwater was 86 years old and lived in the same house his parents lived in. He was there his whole life. He was a little wacky at times but we were friends most of the time. He got a little ornery at times too. lol Well he told me that once when his sister still lived at home they saw this woodchuck going into songbird nests and eating the birds eggs. They got mad since he kept doing it and they wanted the songbirds to be there. I said well what did you do about it? He said him and his sister both got shovels and when the woodchuck came out from under the barn where it lived they beat him to death with their shovels and then they ate him..... lolol reinhard1 and RebelSS
Popular Post roony
Everybody thinks squirrels are strictly vegetarians but this simply is not true. They eat eggs, birds, insects and have even been known to make their own sausage. Dotch, Coffee118, reinhard1 and 2 others

leechlake
this thread looks like all the other threads...my experiment was accurate. I kind of miss Boar. Everyone here has their role to play including Boar. He's out saving the ag business and preparing for kid stuff. Good dad. It was nice he took the time to send me a get well card. Pretty long note in it and I sent it to the U of M Department of Linguistics for interpretation. They may put it in the Bell Museum and make a PBS documentary on it. That's cool. Thanks Boar!
