Hey! Where'd everybody go? Just got back from an all day meeting so can unwind a little minute. Would've been here earlier but got some butter smeared on my cellphone so it's tough to type on it until I can get it cleaned off. Got a nice cold out of all this recent meeting, late Christmas and wedding stuff. Most likely from the wedding. Would rather clean barn most of the time than go to a wedding. Taking my herbal tea, honey and tincture mixture tonight so I'll be ready for the last Christmas extravaganza tomorrow and the Gopher women's BB game on Sunday. Supposed to haul 3 lambs into the locker on Monday. Down to a few packages of lamb steaks and a couple legs is all in the freezer. Can't wait for more burger actually. Like lamb burger better than beef. Cold weather keeps up we should be able to store it outside on the patio.

I see while doing a little pre-flight map reading that my destination is actually not far from the Avatan Nudist Club! Might be interesting to stop there tomorrow to see what's shakin'. Not much would be my guess. Would expect perhaps even beyond "frightened turtle" or "shrinkage" status.

Good morning all. -8 wind chill here, as usual at the shop since 3:45am for the milk order, got my first nine pots of coffee made & opened shop up at 5:00. I have a 17 hour day ahead of me which is long enough but even longer after a steeler loss and forgetting my lunch on the kitchen table

Morning all, having toast and nuty raisiny cereal, too bad about the steeler loss, cant stand manning. cards won, yeah! warming up a bit, a balmy -5 here, at least its making ice, from my understanding LOW is still not letting rigs out, most south shore spots are reporting only 10" crazy year. hope theres enough ice for eelpout fest. MLK Day Today.  Last night I was flipping through the channels and the show was about Oswald.  Kind of blows that the killer gets the recognition.  

I have to admit on days my kids don't have school it seems like a vacation day to me, work wise.  It's kind of a half vacation day with some entities closed and some not.  Either make it an official day or not.  Frankly switch MLK day to the day after the Super Bowl and call it an official holiday.

For those of you that get to stoke the fire in the am I am jealous but found a remedy.  I have a ceramic heater and I turn it on in the kitchen to heat the tile floors up every morning.  It's the second best option I have at home so I'm watching the glow and listening to the slight noise it puts out.  Going to read a few things I do every morning and get some work stuff done this morning to get it off of my mind.

Good morning from Andover!!  What a weekend.  Third weekend in a row with the 5 grandkids.  The house is a mess and the living room looks like toyland.  Sure is nice to have quiet for a change but it's nice to have them here.  Don't have time for much else besides them.  My cooking was directed to baking cookies and fudge.  Did manage to watch the playoff games.  All good games.  Today is house cleaning day for sure, and the garbage can is already full.  Can't complain about the cold though.  Good for ice making.  We have had a good winter so far, so no complaints here.  good luck.

Smurf, you forgot the evil black fly's.  I have had a few bites by those.  Amazing that any of those survive the winters.  Black fly's are the worst. I put some tape strips around my hat one time while fishing and it was full of them when I was done.  Bug spray doesn't work that well on those.  good luck.

your absolutely correct. forgot about them little ankle biting little buggers!!!!!!!!! how dare I!!!!!!! I did fix it though!!!!!! yea I bought some of that tape to, mainly for horseflies but never used it yet!

Good morning...! Awful cold, -20 says local wedder morjits. I show -14. All I know is I ache like all getout,and the leg pains are about killing me this morning. Don't ever wreck your spine, guys. One more day of this cold, then more normal temps. Screaming siren after siren right past my window woke me at 3:00 AM this morning  After I pulled myself off the ceiling, poked my nose out to see what was going on. My neighbors house was on fire. Started in garage and moved up into house. Watched that disaster for an hour, then went back to bed. One firefighter hurt; water was freezing instantaneously on everything. Quite a scene. Check those furnaces.

Not much on agenda today, haveta come up with something for dinner....or maybe not. Have a good day, guys!  

PS...rh...I did the tape trick on my hat once while doing some night-time river fishing. When the tape was full, they flew off with my hat.

Wow, sorry to hear about your neighbor, that has to be awful..  It must looked like some kind of charred frozen waterfall this morning.

Had some great venison breakfast patties this morning.  Finally got a chance to re-grind them through the medium plate for a better texture. I also added some Maple syrup.  Wife even likes them now.

Sad about your neighbor Reb. Reminds me I better change the filter on our furnace today when I get the chance. Been a month. Under the weather here so am celebrating MLK Day by coughing, blowing my nose and hawking up loogies. After chores, a nice bowl of oatmeal, some coffee, a few phone conversations and now my voice is about hatched. The lambs that were supposed to go to the locker today got a brief reprieve. Kinda fun to watch some of the wild critters in the yard I normally don't get a chance to see much of including the pheasants. They're wary but it has been gratifying to see a number of hens after what most said was a poor hunting season in the area. One rooster has a really long tail and he likes to shoo the others away from "his" ear corn feeder. Have some writing and correspondence type stuff I can do from home so by lunchtime my brain will be about drained. I should be ready for a recharge by catching up on my Bonanza reruns.

Mornin or afternoon,  just had me a little cat nap now kinda ready for the evening.  Del, you might havta go backwards for a long ways til you find that not so hurtful air. Ate lunch at nine this morning leftover rib steak and some casserole so I'm getting the urge to feed.. Think tonight it's tater tot hotdish.

Good morning. Been up since the normal 4:00. Just about time to wake the kids up for school. The wife left about 4:30 for work so it's nice and peaceful here. After I drop the kids off at school I am going to go shopping for a new truck. Fun times!

Cool beans?!? Cripes!! That was 1983, Boar!     Zoom into the 21st century!!!! Good morning! Only -12 at my house. Gonna get out and do some shopping. Meeting an HSO member for lunch tomorrow and maybe an ICE FISHING TRIP Friday, I hope. GAD, I need to  get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure miss selling my shack, sled, auger and Showdown last year, and all the other goodies. even though I can't use them by myself anymore. Glad I kept the all the boxes of tackle and the 1.3 zillion rods, reels, and other assorted tackle! Still have my Micro-Vu cam, too. Just need the other guy with an auger and shack, and we be set!  Think ice, guys!!!! I'm ready!  Have a good day!
