Good Luck Freeman

So who thought it was a good idea to go get Freeman?

He has been beyond brutal. I get that he's being given a limited playbook but he's missing wide open guys. In the end you see the receiver and hit the receiver, only he's missing horribly. His biggest issue has always been his accuracy and its showing tonight.

SKOL!!

Glad I plugged Hillis into a few fantasy leagues, I knew we couldn't even stop a guy coming out of the farm fields on Wed to play some football.

Vikes are horrid all around, poor offense only got to run about 40% of Musgraves playbook. That's about the size of a matchbook, the original playbook is the size of a drivers license.

The Vikings see something in Freeman that is why they picked up and agreed to pay him a couple of mil and felt he was ready to start a game after less then two weeks. I want what ever they are smoking !!!! Been following the Vikings as long as I can remember and I am over 724 months old. Like you I have missed family gatherings to watch games. After tonight and last week I am now going to declaring any time the Vikings are playing for the rest of this year I am available... I was embarrassed to be seen watching the game and that was by my dog Duncan. He sat on the couch alongside of me and gave me that lab look of Why are we here. Don't care about playbooks or not enough time with players when a purple jersey is alone and standing still you have been taught since gym class in the fifth grade to hit the player in the numbers with the ball. Not five feet over their heads or see if you can try to throw the ball through them. We are lucky we did not walk away with some serious injuries to receivers who were left to attempt to catch balls that should not have been thrown and took hits from db's who were just lining them up. Freeman, has no touch, has no accuracy and dare I say it... I was calling for Ponder to come in for relief... That alone should tell you how bad this night was.....

Offensive line is the worst in the NFL right now...none of the QB's can do squat with no time at all. Sullivan or the QB's obviously can't make a defensive read to save their lives. 2-3 wins tops with this unit. I don't even think a 1st round QB next year could fix the mess they have playing in front of them.

Sullivan needs to go...take the guards with him.

I question Freeman even has passing skills.

Seem's the Giant's have next to no pass rush as Freeman had forever it seem's to make his pass's.

He still did a terrible time completing passes with all that time.

Ponder may have looked great out on the field with the time Freeman had.

4000 yards and 25 TDs last year... He has the skills. He needs coaches that can/will get it out of him.... Not a Freeman fan, but he does have starting QB in him somewhere.

I only watched half the game, while freeman had time on many passes, he seemed to rushed just as many.... Your O-line blows! The Pack got more play out of last years rag tag line... And they were sieves.

Good Luck!

I don't think you watched the same game that I did. Freeman saw some pretty good pressure. In the 4th he was on his back on almost every play.

There was a lot that I can't pin on Freeman he was in a bad spot in this game and it showed. The one thing that was still 100% on Freeman was his accuracy. He was flat out horrible in his throws. I'll forgive the bad decisions in this case but when he threw the ball it was no where near the receiver. How many times did we see the ball sail 5-10 yards over the receiver? Thats not a prodcut of not knowing the system thats just a flat out horrible throw. But I guess what do you expect for a QB with a career completion percentage in the 50% range. Thats exactly why I wasn't a fan of bringing him in. He's just another inaccurate passer in a league that demands accuracy.

Just read an interesting stat. According to ESPN Freeman overthrew his intended receiver 16 times last night. That was the most overthrows in an NFL game since 2006. That means he over threw his target 30% of the time or roughly the same percentage of the time where he actually hit his target.

Thankfully he only has a deal through the end of the year.

Freeman's deal is really a game by game deal. They can cut him today and owe him nothing... Once the season starts, any signing is done on a per game basis.

With that said, I think Freeman is a middle of the road QB, with some talent. Especially on designed run plays and long passes. He has had no time to get the timing down with his recievers. That is a huge component. As you work with each reciever, you learning their timing on routes, when they break, where they break... I think after having to come in so green this week, you give him an opportunity to work as your starter for at least 2 more weeks to see if he improves before any decision is made.

Plus who knows if he has had 2-3 minutes to sit down with Muskrat to learn "thee" play Musgrave has. laugh You guys just wait till you see it... you'll know it when you do, it'll resemble an NFL play.

Good Luck!

Freeman may get better when he has had more time to learn the plays and routes.

But, from what he showed last night in regards to throwing, not very impressed. Frazier is probably sitting back waitng for the fans to say, bring Ponder back.

This season is lost to say the least. We have 1 win and I would guess with the tema we play in the second half, we may get 1 more win.

Time will tell, we can all only guess but this team is in the dumps right now about as bad as it can get.

Still trying to understand how we went 10-6 last season and this season, can hardly stay in a game with almost the same team.

What am I missing??

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
