Just as we were out of venison the kids came through. Kansas youth hunt already proved to be the best hunt of the year for my brother and me. His daughter and my son had a blast over 2.5 days. It might be worth having kids, just to take them hunting with you!

Good eye Leech. She used a .243 to kill the deer but it was in the case behind the truck seat and the .22 was handy for the pictures. I doubt they are legal in KS, but we wouldn't use one if it were.

I know what you mean. My 3 yr old already has a duck call (which he blows constantly when he sees ducks fly over) and his own binocs which he uses to scan the fields out at my dads for deer.
