We loaded up on some Klement's Bratwursts at Menard's today. They have Regular, Beer, or Italian Sausage on sale while supplies last for $2.22 after the 11% rebate. Even without the rebate the price was $2.49 per pound which isn't bad.

Loaded up on St Louis Cuts at Target last night. They seem to not be as on the ball this year at the 2 locations I checked. One only had 2 racks available, and the other had them all mismarked at $3.99/lb. They had to reweigh all of them and reprice them at $2.49/lb, so I told them I'd come back later. On top of that they only had about a dozen racks to pick through, and I like to pick through them! Hopefully my next run will be a little better.

Also, Walmart has Spares at $2.49/lb, and St Louis cuts at $2.99/lb. I think Cub has spares at $1.99/lb. Not much for deals on pork butts or briskets that I could find.

Walmart also has Kingsford 15lb 2-packs for $8 ($0.267/lb). That is the same per/pound price as Home Depot's Kingsford 18.6lb 2 packs for $10 ($0.268/lb).

they also had all sausage on sale this weekend. 6.99 lb. I am going to start shopping at Von Hansons which is same as what is in MN. They do have great meat at that other store but i can buy average meat at half the cost and get more.

I know they aren't Johnsonvilles, but my wife went to Aldi the other day for the first time and bought several packages of brats that I would say were definitely on par with Johnsonville and they were only $1.89. That's regular price, it was ridiculous how inexpensive they are. Very impressed with that store, but it was a dang zoo I guess.

At that price I grabbed 3 for next weekend. It helps to lure Dylan home so we get to spend time with the grandbaby

Lowes has Kingsford charcoal on sale- a two-pack of 18.6 pound bags for 9.88, limit two two-packs. Sale is good thru 7/8.

Got a sneaky good deal on ribs at Target. They had BBs (Hormel Always Tender yeahyeahyeah...) for $2.49/lb, plus a $5 coupon by text for meat purchases over $20.  I found 3 racks for right around $7 each, and applied the coupon to get it down to $16; making them under $1.90/lb!!!

Not here they don't. That's one of the few times I've gone to Cub, and believe me, the last time I'll ever go. Checked the Gr beef and chicken prices online; yup. headed over there today (way on other end of town) ...no sale prices on the stuff. Asked the guy in the meat dept about it, he said it's not on sale. Told him about internet ad; he said "Oh, that's for the CITIES store, not Rochester. That will go on sale NEXT week". Wouldn't sell me one tube of ground beef at sale price. What a friggin' scam. I'll never go back.

Ya, I don't understand that,  Cub here is one of the best places to shop.  I shop around and their prices are the same as most places but they do have decent sales including in store items that are not advertised.  If someone has a problem they take care of you right away.  The ads may not reach state wide, but you would think they would.  There are two kinds of Cubs, franchise and corporate.  The franchise stores are the best in my opinion for they cater to the surrounding community, and the corporate stores tend to be all the same as far as displays and layout.  I'll have to ask next time I'm at the cub I shop at as to why non-metro stores [as in your case] do not have the same ad.  The worst place to buy meat is at Walmart.  Their beef is mostly USDA select grade with only a very few items marked choice.  The choice is marked there and the select is marked USDA inspected. Their chicken is all Tyson and I'm not a fan of it.  So I hope you have better results next time. good luck.
