Musky Buck
This eating crow today, they don't taste the best Glad to see that effort, I think that's what this year is all about max effort.
Rick G
Lets not all pat the boys on the back just yet The Angels had a bad night, Starting pitching wasn't what it should have been. Good old Hunter helped the twinks when he went down flat on his face alowing a couple runs to score.
Musky Buck
True enough, I was trying to check cbs power ranking and 30th isn't so bad ? I had no clue who the 3 middle relievers were ? Glad T Hunt kissed the wall, we need some karma. Do you guys sense we don't have that true home field adv. not that every stadium has that but compared to the dome ? It's more about the players and not traveling then it was about the old Dome field advantage MYTH that everybody was brain-washed into thinking we had. Bryce
158 - 4 after last night or more like their 1 - 4 pace to finish with only 32 for the year? I predict more injuries and the run for a hun will be completed with minimum of 2 weeks left in September. 135 and a major league record in play depending how signifigant the injuries. PierBridge
You missed the memo we are going to lose all 162. I love these early season PANIC post/threads!
SledNeck
Guess no one told Willingham that Target field is hard to hit the ball out of....maybe its NOT the field.....hmmmmmmm
Bryce
I'd classify losing Blackie as a big loss. Hope it's a minor ailment but Twins track record with pitching injuries, or injuries in general for that matter, would leave one to bet the other way. Kyhl
Guess no one told Willingham that Target field is hard to hit the ball out of....maybe its NOT the field.....hmmmmmmm First it was the deep center field, then it was the trees in center field, then it was, who knows what. It's all excuses. The Twins play small ball. It's the "Twins way".I think that there would be many more home runs hit at Target field if any other team called it home because most other teams don't play the "Twins way".Example, second game in the new ballpark one of the smaller players in the game had no problem sending a ball out of park, Pedroia. The Twins problem is skill level and coaching, not the park.

It's only the second time through the rotation but he was their best starter on the first rotation, maybe the second as well.Hopefully it is nothing serious. Bryce
LEN3 tweets that mri shows no serious damage. Speculation that he may make his next scheduled start. Not sure what to read into the no serious damage part. Fails to mention who evaluated the mri also. Training staff hasn't earned high marks over the years. Ybone
I don't think the trainers would have anything to do with reading the MRI, that would probably be done by a doctor, a specialist.

Musky Buck
Blackie can't leave a black bruise on your body, he has Carlos Silva itis, that sinka just doesn't sinka like she used to.
SPUD BAR
I was just doing some quick math and it looks like I gave the Twins a little too much credit when I said they would finish 60-102. At the rate they are going now, they are on pace to win a whopping 43 games this year. I dont think it can stay this bad all year, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and go with 50-112. This team is really a disgrace. And to all the guys saying that Gardy needs to go...I dont think a guy like Tony LaRussa or Joe Torre could win with these clowns!!! I think the whole upper management needs to be shown the door for thinking they could use these guys and put a winner on the field.
Ybone
I hope everyone realizes that when I predicted 85 wins I meant in the next 2 seasons however it may take part of a third to reach that number.
Musky Buck
We're looking worse than that Detroit team that I'm sure we were chuckling about and thought we'd never be that bad, well knock on wood we look sick, in the dug out, on the bases if anyone gets on, on the hill, on-deck, in the bull pen, etc. We got a lot of decent 8 and 9 hitters. Thank heavens for i-pods, DS's, etc. or these guys might actually have to talk to one another on the flights to and from where we're getting pounded. I could care less if we lose every game really...I want to see some freakin enthusiasm for the game of baseball, all these guys need to reflect back to being that all-star babe ruth league player or on the traveling team or the stud high school player, they need to find "it" again and simply forget how ugly it is, they are a really dull group to watch play, bring back Carlos Gomez,Punto,Thome,Cuddy, at least somebody with a pulse. Sorry, but forget the money, contracts, etc. just go play for fun for the love of the game, quit letting the game eat you guys up, go swing from the heals a few times, all these defensive swings are tappers to the mound or two hoppers to 2nd. Find yourself and maybe a team will surface out of it.
Scott M
First series win yesterday, beating up on Milwaukee in interleague play tonight. I'm sure the Twins were just sandbagging for a few months...
blue_healer_guy
Nick Punto and major league baseball should never be in the same sentence ever again.
pikestabber
Can anyone tell me why Marquis is still on this team? Anyone at all? Bueller? Bueller? Talk about a major buzz-kill. In any case, very nice road trip so far.
TR21HP
Marquis Has been designated for reassignment so he's gone. You know the pitching staff is in trouble when you have your catcher throwing harder than any of the starting five.
