was this in duluth bowfin? i traveled between the cities and grand marias for work this past week. i saw two wolves, one dead, one alive....

from the front, sure looks like a wolf to me...remember that its been a long winter, and everything will look smaller cuz its lost weight, and shedding their winter fur....

reason i saw its a wolf is the height of the shoulder, and how small the ears look...ie (big head)

This was in northern Isanti County. My first impression was that it was a small wolf but as it turned to go into the woods the brown tinge on the back of the ears made it look like a coyote.

I was listening to kfan outdoors one night and the wolf topic came up and the dnr offical was asked how far south a recorded wolf pack was and his response was dalbo wich isn't to far away.

To me it looks like a young wolf that either is looseing its winter coat or has mange.

when i first watched the video, my reaction was that it was a wolf, now after watching it a few more times I am leaning towards a coyote. The muzzle is quite pointy or sharp, like a coyote, and notice that the tail always hangs down, I have never seen a wolf in the wild so I have no idea what their tail does when they are walking, trotting, etc. but that tail position leads me to think it was a coyote, but it might be "Bagging" as someone said above

Coyote. Realy ugly possible mangie coyote. The head gives it away as a 'yote the location too. I spent a lot of time calling in Isanti County this past winter and while there were plenty of Fox and Coyotes, there was never any wory about shooting or calling a wolf.

Although they are in Millacs county, so mabe a loner ventured into Isanti...?
