Travis Renville (Fishnchester) passed away this early Sunday morning. We are still waiting for details, but the family mentioned that his death was a result of a long bout of depression.

As you can tell from these pics-Travis was a heck of a fisherman and was always willing to share his info w/ others.

Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

I met and fished with Travis several times at the Minnesota river in the fall of 2002 before I moved *up north*.

The world is less one good person.. my condolances(sp?) are extended to the family.

This is very sad news.
I too had the pleasure of fishing with Travis. He was a nice, gentle person and a very talented fisherman. We had recently talked about getting together to go fishing later in the season. He shared his knowledge of fishing freely with all he met.He will be sincerly missed.
May God meet him at the golden gates Himself.
My prayers go out to his family and freinds.

I never met Travis but he looked like one heck of an angler.
I agree with Dennis and hope god himself meets him at the gates.

It is difficult at best to respond to this news, I never met Travis, but my heartfealt sympathy to his Family and friends. Speaking from experience I know untreated and even sometimes treated Depression is an Illness, that devastes all whose live it touches not just the sufferer's. May he find the peace that he was seeking.

We read the forum posts everyday, and with few exceptions, rarely meet in person our internet friends. I didn't know Travis personally, but I feel thankful to have known him relationally thru FM. The truth is, words just fall short, and even seem like kind of an intrusion in what maybe should be a silent reflective moment, at least for me. I'm sure Travis battled his disease courageously, and that gives me hope when I reach the bumps or mountains in my road.

Really.

May God Bless his family and friends, and bind up their hearts as he carries them through this difficult time.
