goblueM
well i dont have any pics from the stand yet... but I took these yesterday before heading out to the evening hunt (just moved to the state of Virginia, opener was yesterday). pretty awesome to be hunting in the Blue Ridge. the stand I was hunting from is in the point of trees, near where the pine tree plot meets the wood and field edges. sticknstring
Nice panoramic - reminds me of the stand I killed my first deer with the bow from in Crosslake - staging area with the field out in front. I've still got a treestep way up in that tree. Thanks for the memories!

jwhawkridge
Passed on her, had two small baby bucks with her. If one hadn't suckled I would have taken her. I was a perfect setup: they came in with the wind and I had the tree between me and them. 10 yards!!! Would have been so easy!!! Oh well, I didn't want to kill three of them! I'd take ONE sighting of a buck that caliber in my car, vs. 3 of them on stand in one year!! Good luck with them....

bottom-bouncer
great photos all...bottom-bouncer.... where are you hunting a monster bucks video?? I'd take ONE sighting of a buck that caliber in my car, vs. 3 of them on stand in one year!! Good luck with them.... No its not a video it actually a very small piece of public ground but it is the funnel that they are forced into due to incredibly steep terrain and a river. Coach1310
well... if you ever need help guarding the funnel, let me know..... great to hear there are still public pieces out there holding good bucks!!
sticknstring
This is the view I had when I shot my buck 3 weeks ago. He angled towards me from the NW of the picture, hit the trail and walked east. I shot him where the mock scrape is and he took off through the area in the 2nd picture.
