That's pretty funny right there, especially the last comment:

Quote:
Obviously Twins fan doesn't like reality. If u can't handle it, unfollow and go listen to Sid's 95-yr-old a ss tell you everything is great.

Which is basically true. grin

Just watch though, if the Twins lead gets much bigger, our series finale against them will have the makings to get UGLY. Hopefully it doesn't, but after all of this, it won't be good. And who is Cowley to judge any other man on his looks. What a nice haircut he has. lol

I liked this one:

Easy Twins fans. Just because they where the Twins uni doesn't make them Angels. Kirby treated women like [PoorWordUsage] ... fat women at that.

Dude can't even use the right "wear/where". What a dult

And him talking so much smack about Kirby- wasn't he from Chicago?

Delmon did what everyones taught to do- try and jar the ball loose. Perfectly fine and I didn't see it cheap one bit.

I absolutely agree with this. Guys used to come in hard to home all the time, now they all try to slide around and it usually doesn't work.

The only thing Delmon did wrong was not lowering his shoulder and come in harder! I actually like A.J. so I am not saying this out of a hate for A.J. thing but it is just the right play for the situation.

Its nice to see AJ take the high road, and let everyone else make a bigger deal out of it:

Quote:
Pierzynski had words for Young after the play at the plate, while Twins fans gave their player a standing ovation. At least while on the record, Pierzynski took the high road.

“It was play at the plate, things happen and you move on,” he said. “It was his only chance and he did what he thought he needed to do.”

Asked again if he was OK with a play like that, Pierzynski repeated himself.

“He did what he needed to do,” he said.

I think last nights game was to close of a game to allow any intentional bean balls. Will see tonight if the Sox fall behind big there could be some fireworks.

Sorry but the right play would have been not to run on such an obvious play and once the mistake was made to fake like you were going to kill AJ and instead of bee lining 3 feet inside the line and trying to knock his head off slide and try to be safe.

Again if any player in the league did this to Mauer we'd have a 10 page thread going here on how we'd be getting redemption.

He knew he was nailed. Sliding wasn't an option- he tried to jar the ball loose. Nothing wrong with it. Whys it so different at the plate, then a runner trying to disrupt a double play taking out the guy at second? Catchers got gear on.

it was an odd play, i guarantee that over half of all mlb players would've been hung out to dry just as cuddyer was if they were in his shoes.

what do you do? stop at third and then maybe not score if there's a bad throw to first?

a hit to the shortstop up the middle he should have held tight on third and looked to find the ball or if he saw the boot then he should have looked back and cautiously rounded third. It seemed that he didn't even notice where the boot was till he was half way between third and home.

ok, well watch closely the next few games at where guys are on the bases while the 3rd out is being recorded. most would be hung out to dry if a pop up were dropped, bobbled grounder, bad throw, etc. nobody rarely hangs out near a base until they see the completion of the play.

I think that you're all wrong. Zamboni, I chose your quote but many above said the same thing. Watch the replay, AJ actually stepped out of the base path when he saw Delmon coming. Delmon then went towards AJ (towards 1st base) and did the double forearms to AJ's head. Delmon was a good 1-2 feet from home plate and never even attempted to tag home. His sole intent has to hit AJ, not even jar the ball loose (which AJ was holding at his chest) or tag home.

I didn't mind the play, but you're all lying to yourselves if you think Delmon was just trying to jar the ball loose. It was low class but that's the kind of stuff that fuel good rivalries. This one is just heating up.
