Target Field

awesome.

i thought the seating was less tight than the metrodome (more leg room-wise). Definitely not anymore tight than any other stadium i have been to. it's likely section dependent though.

target field >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> metrodome

but i am biased because i would rather the twins play at some high school practice field than inside that dome.

inside baseball is terribly lame. outside is how it is supposed to be.

wear a coat if it's cold, that's what i did on saturday night. can't believe minnesotans complain so much about how cold it is in april/may.

Seriously? My wife and I have been to 12 or 13 major league parks and Target Field is the nicest we've see. I may be a bit biased on that opinion, but man, they did it right!

The only down sides I've seen are the width of the stairways in the bleacher seats, and there are some outfield seats where you can't see the entire field. These seats are sold with that stipulation, so there should be no shocked spectators there.

Being able to go pretty much anywhere in the park and still see the game...priceless. Being able to get in out of the weather and still see the game...priceless. Real food available all around the park...priceless (but expensive). You can still get a hot dog, or brat, or polish, or cheese curds or any number of things for $5 or less, so that's really not too bad. You can now bring in a bottle of water, so you can still afford to buy some food without spending $4 for water or pop, that helps. The scoreboard is second to none in baseball and you can actually understand the PA anouncer. Everything about the place is awesome. And yes, legroom is definetly better than the dome and the seats are a bit wider.

My seats are in the upper deck, and though they are higher above the field than our seats in the dome, I think they are closer to the field than before. We love it!

I went on Saturday night for the first time and it was awesome. It could possibly be one of the seven wonders of the world. Baseball was meant to be played outside and they did a great job with the layout of the park. The only thing that I disliked was the wait to use the restroom. I know that I could have drank less beer, but what fun is that?

I agree with everything Don says except the seats are not wider more leg room yes but not wider and probably a bit tighter based on 20 years sitting in the Dome and attending various events.

That's my only complaint and that's nit picking a bit but I did have hopes the claims they were making were true about more width which is important for a bigger guy like myself who notices these things.

My lovely bride and I attended our first game there yesterday.

I truly cannot put into words how much we enjoyed the experience. Nothing but joy and smiles from foul pole to foul pole.... from the nose bleeds to the luxury seats, "Minnesota Nice" was on full display.

Even if you're just a minor fan of the Twins, if there is one thing I can suggest doing this summer, it's getting together with some family and or friends and attending a game.

It's just fantastic, I don't care how much it cost to build, some things in life you cannot put a pricetag on, those joyous folks that were enjoying life all around us yesterday is one of those things.

Its deffinately a nice stadium and a good place to watch a ballgame but I would agree with some of the other posts that the seats feel crammed. I,m not a small guy and I felt like a sardine packed in there we wernt in the cheap seats if there even is such a thing. The nice thing is there is a lot of great standing room with heat lamps.

sounds like its well liked.

Im trying to get tickets to the braves series, but there all sold out, so i will have to hunt for tickets.

in your guys opinion, with the new stadium, is it worth to spend the extra money for the closet seat, or is the seats a bit father away ok?

I've sat in three vastly different seats so far. They're all good. For me though, the closest you can get to behind home plate the easier it is to follow the ball. I'd rather sit in my seats in the third deck than in the lower seats down the line somewhere, but thats me. The seats down the lines don't suk like they did at the dome because they all face the field.

By that time they will be wanting a new ball park with a roof. I have been to two games and I think the seats are a bit close together. The first game it rained some and the guy next to me pulled out and umbrella, well guess where the rain dripped. I had a rain jacket but still very annoying. Umbrellas should be banned imo.

Maybe it seems crammed because there's actually fans in all of the seats? Our seats for the 1 game I got to see were some of the worst in the ballpark but you could still see the game clearly. It was a bit chilly that day so we spent a fair amount of time watching from the heated concourse. You can't follow a flyball but you can see everything else. It was as if we upgraded our $11 seats to $50 seats, only we had to stand.

Be sure to watch for the falcon on the right field foul pole if it's a night game. He sits up there and looks for moths to eat. He'll dive bomb them and get them out of mid air or right off the grass. very cool to see.

HA Ha......the local KRISPY KREME closed almost 2 years ago and my girth has stabilized since TY very much! smile

Just talked to friend who worked on the Park and he says the Seats themselves are as wide or wider but there is less room between them hence the cramped feeling.

I did notice there is hardly any armrest and they did have to get a lot of seats into a smaller Park.

Small price to pay for the best Park in Baseball.

Go Twins!

I heard the Hot Chocolate guy was making a killing last night! Ice cream guy, not so much.

Still patiently waiting for my first game on June 10th. Don't know why I waited so long.

If you saw how sparse the crowd was last night, you'd know that there are tickets to be had to these games!

Game was sold out last night. Seats were empty because everyone was up under the heaters, also lots of people left early because of Chicago's big lead.

Yeah I noticed that too, it looked like a bunch of sections had many seats empty, but there were over 38,000 people there again. People come but with the cold weather I bet those heaters are extremely popular! Can't wait to get to a game but might be nice to go when the sun is shining and I can wear a jersey to the game and not be all bundled up! I get to bundle up enough fishing or hunting!!!!!
