Predictions for the 1st Grandslam at Target..

I want to try to put some reasoning behind my pick... Span gets a lot of walks in the leadoff. Hudson may or may not get a hit/walk batting 2nd. Mauer gets a lot of singles, and Morneau has been taking a lot of walks so far. THAT PUTS ME AT THE 5 or 6 hole. So I'll say Cuddyer, Kubel, or Young....

Just to go against the grain, I'll take Delmon Young to pull it off!

Are we struggling with bases loaded or what????? I think everyone is trying to hard for that first one.

Well, there would be some historical value to that first grand slam in the new stadium!

I don't know how many runners we have left stranded so far, but it's a lot! We aren't even getting little knocks when we load them up, which has been frustrating. I do know this, however--this is the most loaded line-up we have had maybe ever. We have so many patient hitters this year--even Delmon isn't hacking at the first pitch every at bat, and our overall patience has paid dividends in walks. When we do finally get the sticks going, we are going to score A LOT of runs this year...most in the MLB (yes, even more than the pin-stripers out east). First GS will be Cuddy, with more to follow by a handful of guys, I think.

I'll say the Twin's will hit 8 grandslams this year, with 5 of them at Target Field. With that patient lineup, the bags will be full for the powerful middle of the order often. I think after the 6 BB's last night, they're leading the league.

Kubel had another chance yesterday and struck out swingy, i thought he had her!

Didn't Kubel come up twice yesterday with bases juiced? struck out swinging once and popped up once.
