5th Annual Hot Spot Outdoors Fantasy Auto Racing '10

Another year of Fantasy Auto Racing is here!

I have two groups set up with Yahoo's Fantasy Auto Racing '10 (links are below). We will basically have the same deal as last year. The Hot Spot Outdoors group (#9672) will be for teams that have competed in at least one full previous year of FM fantasy NASCAR. The Ice Leaders group (#9674) will be for the rookies, anybody that has not competed in at least one full year.

It will be a first come first serve basis with a maximum of 50 teams per group (please don't let there be 100 teams, just kidding ). If you don't get a spot sign up a team at yahoo, post in this thread that you have a team and if a spot opens up (they usually do), we'll get you in. Make sure you are competing week to week at yahoo so you are getting points!

I post weekly points winners every week (usually the night after the race but typically no later than Monday morning) as well as your ranking based on your total points. Even though there are two groups your competing with each other regardless of what group your in. There will also be some misc. stats and some occasional miscellaneous info so check in weekly to see what up and to give the weekly winner some congrats!!

To the good stuff. You will need to create a team with Yahoo Fantasy Auto Racing '10 (Yahoo Fantasy Auto Racing). Click on the "Sign Up Now" button. USE YOUR FM LOG IN NAME FOR THE TEAM NAME! It makes it a lot easier for everyone to figure out who is who. Fill in the rest of the blanks, read and accept the terms (you have to accept to play) and click on the "Continue" button. The next page should say registration confirmation. Click on the blue "Join Group" link under your registration info. On the next page click the "Join A Private Group" link. You will then be prompted to enter a group number and password.

For teams that have competed in at least one full year of FM Fantasy Auto Racing use;

Group # - 9672

Group Password - pros

For teams that are new to FM Fantasy Auto Racing or have not competed in one full year use or the other group is full;

Group # - 9674

Group password - rookies

Click "Continue" and then "Join Group" on the next page. You should be all set!

Make sure you post in this thread after you have registered your team in one of the two groups! Teams with non member names will be removed!

We will be using Yahoo's fantasy auto racing rules so make sure you look them over. Feel free to ask any questions you may have in this thread.

So, Pick a wing or spoiler, adjust your air pressures, and pull those straps tight! lets go racing!!!!

After giving it some serious thought...I'm in again.

It gives a whole new dimension to a race when you are cheering for guys you never would otherwise. Makes it a bit more exciting, I think.

That's definitely one of the oddest side effects of fantasy anything. You often find yourself routing for people you really dislike!!!

When they fail you dislike them even more, when they do well there your hero.
