What do you leave in your permanent house?

Just curious how trusting everyone is?

I only leave folding chairs, a few cheap rods and reels, some jigs, and a well traveled buddy heater. That way if I get totally wiped out, I am out $100. Everything else comes home in an action packer.

I actually think this is an interesting idea...I don't have a permanent, but there have been a couple times when I was absolutely dying because I forgot to grab a Coke or something to drink on the way to the lake that I left the portable for 20 minutes to run to a gas station. I just loaded everything up except the house, that way I'd still have the rest of my gear and I wouldn't have to spend 10 minutes both taking down and putting up/screwing in my house. Maybe not the best idea though, it would probably be about $200 to make me happy again if I got robbed...

You guys are a riot. I figured that those on here who have already disclosed the location of their house probably would opt out of this discussion..

I have left one of my portables out for up to a week but worried to no end. It is an old canvas suitcase which has much more sentimental value than monetary value. Did leave some folding chairs in there with no problem.

The cushions on the bunks, a folding chair, the heater thats attached to the wall and an old ice scoop.

Nothing blocking the windows so people can look in and see there is nothing worth stealing.

Make it look empty, stove attached to wall, skimmer, 2 buckets, rattle reels. Leave curtains open when not there so they can see what's inside. Lock my door with combo lock with combo written above door. Also have small sign that reads [use it don't break it by door]

The only things I would leave are anything that wouldn't matter too much to me if it got stolen. Basically some jig sticks and an ice scooper probably. I wouldn't even leave your old Buddy heater seems like that would be enough for someone to break your lock and go in. Then you have to go buy a new lock and go through that hassle.

I don't leave anything in my house except a couple rattle wheels and a heater that is mounted to the wall. I can get everything I need to fish on my wheeler each time I go out.

The house is unlocked and I have no curtains on any of the windows. Even if you remove everything from the house, curtains over the windows can get some jerk the idea that there is something in there worth stealing, and an reason to break in.

Some frozen water bottles, blocking, a garbage can, (2) kmart 6x9 speakers, an ancient pioneer cd player, cruddy old pots and pans, rod holders, and 3/4s of a bottle of Mcgillicuddy's Mentholmint.
